I feel her panting breath against my neck.
It softens against my skin.
My eyes locked lash to lash
I lay asleep.
She's in my dreams.
She awakens me with a brush on my cheek.
My eyes open there she is,
Blonde curls slip towards her mouth
Her lips a silky shade.
Eyes darker than the midnight sky.
"Hello," she wispers.
Gracefully she stands.
And offers me her hand.
"Come with me."
She leads me toward a light.
Confused I stand hesitant to continue.
She glances back eyes reassuring safety.
I start to pant as she had.
My breath softens against the wind.
I feel my soul dance painfully from my body.
Dropping down she wispers.
"This is what it feels like to die."
