GUIDELINES FOR ORGANIZING YOUR BINDER
ASSIGNMENT LOG
All graded papers should be recorded on this log.  You will start with a fresh new log
each quarter. To get full credit on the Assignment Log, all columns need to be filled in.  Ideally, the information on the Assignment Log should match the information on the Class Progress Reports.  If something does not match, the student should have Ms. Simpson check the computer Grade Book for accuracy.   Updated Assignment Logs can be found on the homepage.

WARM-UPS
Warm-Ups are completed daily and checked on a weekly basis.  Graded Warm-Ups are returned to the students and should be organized into this section
BY DATE.    The Warm-Up section will be re-set after each completed unit in preparation for the new unit.

CLASSWORK
This section should include all lesson hand-outs (i.e. "Transparency 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, etc.) as well as any notes taken in class.  This section may be organized in either
ASCENDING or DESCENDING order.  The Classwork section will be re-set after each completed unit in preparation for the new unit.

HOMEWORK
As homework is assigned, students will be expected to record the assignment onto the
Homework Log which should be located in the FRONT of this section.  This log will serve as a table of contents for this section.  That is, the homework assignments should be organized in the same order in which they are listed on the Homework Log.   The Homework section will be re-set after each completed unit in preparation for the new unit.

QUIZZES, TESTS, & REFLECTIONS
All graded quizzes, tests, and reflections should be organized in this section by
DATE.  This  section will be re-set after each completed unit in preparation for the new unit.

MATH MINUTES
Students will typically take two MATH MINUTES per week.  Although they do not directly affect the class grade, they serve as excellent practice for proficiency and review.  Students are expected to track their progress on the
MATH MINUTE JOURNAL.   The Math Minute Section will be re-set at the end of each quarter.  The Math Minute Journal is to remain in the Math binder all year long (reinforce the holes if needed).
