| Jackie's Poem for my wife Stop staring at the mud on your shoes and look at me: to be beside you is a blessing like witnessing the birth of an animal or seeing floes of yellowed ice break up in spring. It is walking in these woods with you at the end of a long winter and finding this red abandoned waterwheel and standing here, feeling it turning in our young bones.
