THE BOOK FAIR
The Book Fair came last week
And lots of books were bought
And even toddlers came and looked
And flicked and pulled and thought.

Mothers came in and dads came too
Dragged in by little hands.
They bent down low and thumbed them through
As they broused amongst the stands.

"
I like this one dad!" a small boy said
Pointing at Winnie the Pooh
And a girl just smiled and tugged her mum
As she saw one that she knew.

It was a success the teachers said
But not for the money they made
But for the magic words and pictures too
Which remain in the mind replayed.
