RIDDLES
Where do birds go at night
When they are fast asleep?
You can't hear them in the trees
You don't hear a peep.

I think they go Birdland
For them a special place
Where they can rest and think awhile
Before they hunt and chase
How do worms see in the ground
When it's dark and cold?
Or do they need an eye at all
With tentacle so bold?
Why do flowers close up at night
Are they going to sleep?
Or is there something sinister
In the hours that they keep?
Why is the meadow grass wet
On a sunny morn?
I think the earth is washing its face
As it approaches dawn.
How do goldfish come to life
After being frozen in  a pond?
I think it's a magical force or spell
And the wave of a spring wizard wand.
