Said to me by an official named David with the Washington Mutual Bank from their headquarter offices in Seattle, Washington. He had called me to reinterate that the bank had the right to close my Needles, Ca. account wthout stated reason. I can read, did he call to rub it in? Some months earlier, I went into the local branch and asked the manager, Valerie, about opening up a business account for my website sales, she said, "Just open a personal account, and run it through there." I did and sometime later went into cash or deposit a refund check from a California corporation. The teller said no. She said I had to have a business Account. Even Valerie refused. I offered to show them my business license, still no. The local supermarket, Bashas was happy to cash it for me. I wrote their headquarters, about it, and they wrote a letter apologizing, and then another canceling my account. Pure, unadulterated discrimination, not permissible under Federal guidelines. Consider on page 12, I had saved both banks from possible robbery danger, and this then, was outragious. (Since I have the city under a requested Federal investiation for money laundering and racketeering, its logical our local banks at least, culpable.) However, I have had other odd bank happenings, I had an account with Ventura Commercial Bank(Ventura, Ca.) and on occasions found my ATM slips(I dont use checks) balances off, twice by a hundred dollars or more. When I called(once in San Rafael, Ca. they magically returned it to the correct amount, are we on disabled pay considered stupid? I switched to the Japanese owned Union Bank, and after turning in a bank robbery suspect in Arroyo Grande, Ca., went to Barstow, Ca. Their Union Bank when I notified them, their backstairs to their lobby didnt have security cameras, their security guards started tailing ME anytime, I was in the bank. Moving to Poway, Ca. I discovered they charged me for deposit slips that were supposed to be free. Later, I went to Tucson, Arizona, and found them charging me an ATM service charge they blamed on ATM systems, discovered to be a fabrication. I tried to get another account in the Norwest bank, but they after applying, saying they didnt accept mailing service mail boxes as an address, I was homeless, IT WAS my address. Oddly weeks later, one of their ATM machines ate my card and the next day, when they were open, found they had destroyed it. I had to eat out of trashcans for a week until the other came from Union. All of this was reported properly to the (Federal) dept. that administers banks and they sided with all the banks! The first issue reported to the Federal Reserve bank yielded no response nor to the Treasury Dept. IF It Can Happen To Me, It Can Happen To You. (Please go to 24thpage for other issue, the F.B.I. has refused to investigate...an off the wall thought. for the members of Congress visiting this site, since scientists have apparently proven that green tea improves brain function, shouldnt its use by students be encouraged nationally? It seems to have helped my old feeble mind... |
