Where does the word Angel come from?

Hebrew word for angel in the old testment is mal'akh.
The Greek word for angel in the New Testament is aggelios.
They both mean messenger. The most frequent dutie of a angel.




Where Did Angels Come From?
God!!! Colossians 1:16 clearly states that Jesus
Christ is the creator of angels.
Angels are a company; people are a race.






When Were the Angels Created?
In the beginning there was God.
Then God created angels. Job 38:7 says that when the world was created,
"the morning stars sang together, and all the angels shouted for joy."




How Many Angels are They?
Hebrews 12:22, "to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly"
indicate that the number of angels is beyond counting.




Do Angels Die?
No! In Luke 20:36 Jesus clearly taught, once created, angels never die.




Do Angels Know Everything?
No! Angels have superhuman knowledge.
They know more than people, but God is only omniscient.
We can be certain that God's holy angels use their knowledge for our good.




Do Angels Have Emotions?
Yes! They sang for joy at the creation of the world (Job 38:7). They rejoice when sinner repents (Luke 15:10).




How Strong Are Angels?
They have tremendous strength!
They are stronger and more powderful than men (2 Peter 2:11).
In scripture they are called "the mighty ones" and God's "powerful angels."
