I know that I can't erase,
the things I have done.
I will always feel,
the pain that will linger on.

Can't you see the tears,
as they run down my face.
If I only could go back,
to put things in it's proper place.

If I only could take away,
the pain that hurts me so.
The hurt of the years gone by,
to this which I try and let go.

I look back to the words,
the words that were said.
I never meant to hurt you,
see the tears that I shed.
