No longer will these temptations,
be breathing down my neck.
You demons better run for cover,
you all better hit the deck.

Save me, heal me,
from this spiritual disease.
The sins of this world,
drives me to my knees.
"Lord God, help me please!"

Can't do it all alone,
can't do it on my own.
I am nothing but what you see,
merely flesh and bone.

"The demons take their ground,
they take it from me.
Whispering their little white lies,
telling me what could be.
The sin is so great,
it's tempting to believe.
The pleasure so pleasing,
for I have been deceived."

"I am here once again,
wallowing in my stupidity.
I am here faced down,
suffering in my humility.
Father forgive Your son,
for I now know what I do.
My bitter tears,
these wasted years,
I leave it all up to You."

I can't do much,
I have no magic touch,
for I am only a man.
But by the power of one,
it will end just like where it began.

For I am made new again,
Your never ending grace.
He'll break you all in half,
put you back in your place.
