This Christian life is a piece of cake,
it's not as easy as we may think.
So many people think that they're saved,
while they're standing on the brink.

Nail me to the cross,
show me who's boss.
Show me what makes a man,
to this world I'm not a fan.

We all have to go
through His agonizing pain.
A living sacrifice,
for His eternal reign.

Relaxed, comfortable and laid back,
do you see, there's so much more to it?
The fool back to their folly,
the dog back to their sickening vomit.
You spineless hypocrites!

Do we have what it takes,
to live up to these stakes?
Or are we fooling ourselves,
with faith and everything else?

We all have to go
through His agonizing pain.
A living sacrifice,
for His eternal reign.

Can you see, we serve a living God,
something more than a mere religion.
To deny this world of sin,
through the thick and thin.
That's what it takes to be a Christian.

Is it by the words we say,
or by the works we display?
Are we all truly saved,
or a corpse for the grave?
