You walk high and mighty,
in your ignorance and pride.
You live for the Almighty Dollar,
the true meaning of life has died.

All your dollars and cents,
all the world’s dead presidents,
won’t buy you any part of Heaven.
You count the cost, all hope is lost,
not even a lucky roll of a seven.

Since your treasures are to remain,
go ahead and find your golden casket.
To be buried six feet under,
to put your money in the bread basket.

What would it all be worth,
if you gained nothing,
but the riches of the earth?

You walk high and mighty,
in your selfishness and greed.
You show us all what you have,
I'll tell you what you need.

I just thought I would forewarn you,
the wages of sin is death.
I don't know about you,
but as for me,
I'll praise God till my very last breath.

What would it all be worth,
if you gained nothing,
but the problems of the earth?
