"A simple poem about a couple who promised their love for all eternity when they were but teenagers carving their initials in a tree. But as life goes on and they grow, they begin to realise that life and love is not all a bed of roses....and so they begin to disagree. They lose faith in one another and their love, which leaves them feeling reminiscent of their younger days and the promises they made. All the things they used to love about each other now frustrates them, and leaves them feeling somewhat disillusioned. But one thing is clear, despite their arguements with one another, their love remains, even if they find it hard to let each other know. Their initials in the tree reflect the promise they made and that that has never changed. Their love is for eternity....carved within the heart of time." |
