Shadows of the twilight
resplendent in array
With shaded hues of colour
ending another day ~
A touch of evening magic
as dusk begins to form
Captured in the splendour
of nature's glowing warmth.

The softness of the faded light
hidden in the mist
Falling through the coloured shades
amidst the twilight kiss ~
Encompassing the beauty
found within the breeze
That whispers through the shadows
and rests within the trees.

A shrouded path of greenery
trimmed with sweet perfume
Beneath the evening starlight
and the shadow of the moon ~
Hidden in the splendour
a garden's soft delight
Adorned with pleasant fragrance
glowing in the night.

A flowing stream that disappears
beneath the cobblestones
Part the mists that now surround
the house that sits aglow ~
As gardens form the beauty
of colourful array
In mauves and blues and greenery
in a sweet floral display.

Fragrant in the twilight
the evening's soft perfume
Wafting through windows
that flows into the rooms ~
Of the house adorned in beauty
that some come to depend
On the warmth that by the fire
is found at the day's end.

A happiness within the walls
that surrounds this home
Standing in its splendour
will never be alone ~
The shadows of the evening
brings fragrance to the air
As the garden finds abundance
to which nothing can compare.

Sweet floral beauty
petals in the wind
Falling from the heavens
shadows from within ~
An overflowing essence
parted by the mist
Found within the babbling stream
of nature's soft caress.

Evening shadows fall upon
the path that leads the way
To the door of sweet abundance
at the end of another day ~
Mists entwined in splendour
a fragrance of delight
Embracing hues that welcome
dusky shades of night.

"A simple yet beautiful poem about the wonder and fragrance of nature at the day's end.   How many ways can one see the end of a day?   How many ways can one find to describe its pure beauty and radiance?   How many ways can one see the glory in the colours, the whisper in the breeze, the fragrance in the air and the warmth in the twilight glow?   Nature is beautiful, and the mere poetic expression of the twilight and the day's end is one of surrounding splendour embraced by the grace and majesty of His creation.   The evening shadows we see at the end of each day brings a peace and comfort in just knowing that God Himself created all of this....for us."
