Waiting in this lonely place
searching for harmony
Surrounded by the solitude
of my own company ~
Colours shade the depths within
tinges filled with blue
I need a place to hide away
I'm so lonely without you.

Silence reigns within my heart
to appropriate my dreams
Chasing all I long to feel
but nothing's as it seems ~
Where did you go to hide your heart,
why did you ever leave,
Did I not fulfill the man in you
and give you sweet reprieve?

Feeling blue within the soul
that takes me to the place
Where I long for sweet renewal
in the arms of your embrace ~
Treasures of another time
remembering your caress
Makes me ache for your touch,
the one who knew me best.

Yearning for what can never be
brings sorrow to my heart
For I thought our love would never die
and that we'd never part ~
But I cannot go on without you
in calming overflow
Wondering if you ever knew
how much I love you so.

Nothing could ever be the same
as tears fall from my eyes
You didn't even have the nerve
to let me say goodbye ~
How could you just up and leave
like you never cared,
Then without a word you walked away
into a breath of air.

Now I'm waiting for the time
that I'll get over you
No longer do I want to be
forever feeling blue ~
You took my heart, you took my soul
the day that you left me
And I don't want to wait for something
that will never be.

"A tragic tale of a love lost....a woman left within her sorrow, wondering why her lover has gone without a word.   Yearning for his return to her side, yet also wanting to get over him so she'll no longer have to feel this way.   An all-too-familiar tale and feeling we have probably all experienced at some point in our lives.   A sad and hurtful feeling at realising you are not loved and cherished by the one you thought did.   Feeling blue within ourselves as we learn to get over the loves lost in time....becoming stronger through those hurts, and learning to live again."
