Wisdom of Words

Words written so simply
from the heart I see
Life in sweet abundance
majestic in beauty ~
Recording every moment
through the hands of time
Upon little scraps of paper
etched in the heart of mine.

It's there I find my solitude
scribbling with my pen
Expressions of the wisdom
that has now become my friend ~
Growing through the pages
and years of history
As I learn the absolution
of writing therapy.

Innocent within my youth
but wise beyond my years
It has become a fashion that
I pour out heartfelt tears ~
Through written words on pages
expressions of the heart
As I become a writer
with a gift I now impart.

Years have shaped the wisdom
I have come to know
Through all my joys and happiness,
heartache and sorrow ~
Life is an experience
from which we always learn
As I still jot down on paper
the expression of my words.

"A short simple poem about the expressions of the heart, a reflection of how I began to write as a child to how writing then became a friend of therapeutic expression and wisdom. And today as I have grown through my poetry I now have a precious gift to offer to others through my words as I reach out and touch their hearts poetically. A precious gift from God to be able to use my heartache and joys through my own personal expressions for greater things! That is the wisdom of words."
