I cannot believe that love is fleeting,
A feeling that comes and eventually goes,

I shall not upon true loves meeting,
Give up and run when a hard time shows,

I cannot give into doubt and dismay,
My true love will forever be strong,

I shall always believe that there is a way,
And a place for our hearts to belong,

Heartache and pain being a part of us all,
Cannot ever change the fact,

That someone will always catch our fall,
When sorrow is on the attack,

We must all suffer and live out our fears,
In order to respect what we have learned,

So when love comes to us one of these years,
We'll know that true love is what we have earned,
