In Memory Of 09-11-2001
In the memory of those that died, On the date remembered for ever,
Of the people we new that flied, On the planes that crashed in September,
Thousands of lives lost that day, In needless bloodshed and crime,
Loved ones forever taken away, Taken before their time,
And we as a nation big and strong, Retaliated with vengeance true,
Hunting down all the wrong, Making them pay for what they do,
Though content in our deeds, To bring justice to life,
We'll never fulfill our needs, Of ending the pain and strife,
Though powerful we may be, Our nation mighty and great,
We shall never be free, The memory of that date.

I would like to dedicate this poem I’ve written, to all the family members, of the people that not only died during the 9-11 attacks. But to the families of those that died since... because of 9-11. I was not affected by the attacks personally, None of my relatives were killed, I did not suffer the pain of loosing a loved one, But I felt the sorrow, the feelings of loss, the fear of war, and more pointless deaths, and as the twin towers fell I cried. I remember the day well, and will NEVER forget that day! My heart goes out to you all. With Love… Keith A, Ball |
