This is my view on the hypocrisy of religion,
These are my views and only my opinion,
The world relies on religious belief,
Yet the difference of opinion's cause massive grief,
Wars have been fought over who's god is right,
Many lives have been lost over this silly fight,
Is the catholic religion the right one to be?
While the priest's molest young boys and go free,
Hiding behind their sacred vows,
Exempt from non-religious justice somehow,
Or the Jewish religion that suffers so,
Are they the chosen ones? Are they? NO?
Maybe the Mormon's are they the one,
Took just a section of the bible to expand upon,
With their attitudes of being holier than the',
Could they be the ones? Could they? Maybe!
Or the many denominations of Christianity,
Could one of them be right? Could they be?
But all religions have some things in kin,
Believe in ours or else it's a sin,
If you are not Buddhist you're going to fry,
Be Catholic or else your soul will die,
The Jews are the chosen be one or pay,
Christianity is the only way,
I have no idea which one is true,
I cannot prove any wrong, can you?
And proving one to be right is a task,
How can you prove it? How I ask?
Not that it even matters to me,
I have chosen my own god you see,
But I feel compelled to ask or say,
Would God have really wanted it this way?
I know the God that I have picked,
Would look upon this fight and get sick,
I tell you pray each night before bed,
That your religion is right instead,
I choose not to claim a religious name,
For the God I know needs no fame.
