"A Short Story"

AH! Short stories, aren't they great?
I'll tell you one of my first date,

Will do my best to make it rhyme,
And try like hell not to waste your time,

So I met this girl first day of school,
And fell in love like any fool,

Sixteen years old, tall and thin,
Looking for my first taste of sin,

She asked me for a ride in my truck,
And I was thinking wow! Am I in luck,

I agreed to take her home that day,
Asked her out and she said O.K.,

Now we went out and did the usual thing,
Dinner, a movie and to her I did sing,

But there's something else we did that night,
We made Love, yeah that's right!

Well! There it is, my first date,
AKA my first ex-wife, my first ex-mate.
