"The Eulogy"

Was Robin hunter a victim of circumstance,
Or was she just a victim of chance,

Robin was taken in the prime of life,
A co-worker, loving mother and wife,

To those that knew her she was cold and mean,
Yet to those that loved her was a different scene,

Robin died as many women do,
A victim of cancer and chemo too,

Of all the people you'd think would beat it,
She was one and that's no shit,

Robin worked until the day she died,
She never broke down and never cried,

We all watched her wither away,
Growing sicker and sicker to her dying day,

Though she hid her pain so very well,
I could see it and I could tell,

But the worse she got the more determined she'd seem,
To beat that thing like it were just a bad dream,

I was one of the very few,
That Robin cared for or cared she knew,

I find that it was my honor to call her friend,
She held her head high till the very end,

It amazes me that she could be so strong,
And I miss her now that she is gone,

Though I am happy for her the pain is gone,
Now that she is in heaven where she belongs,

Robin is gone now but the pain is still here,
Carried by loved ones through out the year,

We shall miss you Robin this is true,
You were loved, we loved you.
