FACING THE WIND Facing The Wind

She's clothed in a garment
that matches her eyes
As she faces the wind,
with an eagle at her side

She's lost in the beauty
of spirit and wind
Her heritage a song
that comes from within

The heat from the sun
leaves her skin with a glow
The wind reaches down
and she feels its soft flow
Her heart pounds with pride
as her eyes span the earth
The beauty she nourishes
deep within her

Deep in her chest
she can feel the soft glow
The peacefulness there,
not many will know
She walks with a gracefulness,
so lithe is her step
The earth's quiet beauty,
she holds in her grip

With eyes cast upward,
she delivers her treasure
The great eagle spirit
she has come to surrender
His strength holds a meaning
known only to her
Her gift to the Great Spirit...
The earth's most beautiful bird
