Rainbows And Mud Puddles
The beauty of a rainbow after a summer shower
Makes you realize the gift of love of Gods wondrous power
Each drop that falls from heaven was sent to cleanse the earth
And though they make mud puddles, they also cause rebirth
Without the rain nothing would grow, the earth would turn to dust
And if there was no sunshine, the earth would not be blessed
Like the earth we need some raindrops to cleanse our weary soul
The mud puddles that they make, give us strength to follow through
Some days are filled with raindrops and storms of great destruction
But when the sun comes out again, we appreciate God's blessings
He draws us close beside him and holds us when we weep
He listens to our prayers at night, when often we can't sleep
Life offers many blessings that often we don't see
We're too wrapped up in worldly things and act so selfishly
We're blinded by money and worldly possessions
And often take for granted the things of perfection
The value of love doesn't have a price tag
If it did, no one could afford it
