Silent Heart

Deep inside my silent breast, a soul of deep emotion Pitted with dark memories as deep as any ocean Silent heart, I bare my soul to give the breath of life Gently opening the wounds and laying bare the strife

Nights of darkness cover me like waves upon the water Churning deep inside of me, love's lost daughter Heavy winds that bend me down, I lay upon the earth Naked in my misery, writhing in the dirt

Sleep encompasses the night, silent flowing tears I fight My dreams a giant battle that dims against the light Eyes of darkness follow me amidst the morning glow Dreams that wrapped around my mind and suddenly let go

Precious warmth of sunlight after cold and damp the night Fragrant colored blossoms that give my heart delight Treasures that I carry, my heart so light and free Distant are the memories that felled me to my knees Sand * * *
