Mother Waits I know she waits with tender smile Her hands no need to wring As we in tears the moments while Before your soul takes wing I know her arms prepare to hold Her earthly daughter once again As we stand by in grief behold Your fight for living wane I know that were she mortal She’d offer reassuring word As we pray to keep the portal ‘tween your life and ours secured I know she wishes pain to ease Would tell us grief, in time abates It gives a sense of inner peace For us to know she waits Sept. 22, 02 |
