Incredulous as it may seem, even a priest must throw away everything, even pride in chastity and poverty, and the love for Jesus, if true purpose is to reveal itself.
Pride and love, like hate, are weight,
and they distract us from the path.

Why then, do we flog ourselves for stuggling with our own human err? How many priest do you know who truly "throw away everything"?
