Pointe Shoe Buyers Guide
Gaynor Mindon
Gaynor Mindons offer more professional shoes to pre-professional dancers by making each pair to order. You choose the size, shank, vamp, and heel to best fit your foot. What really sets the company apart is that their shanks are made of a more advanced "thermoplastic elastomeric material" as opposed to the cardboard, fiberglass or leather that other companies use..

"I wear Gaynors and they are a WONDERFUL shoe!  They are a little bit more expensive, but definetly worth every penny!  You don't have to wear as much padding in them, and they last FOREVER (the only reason I've had to get new ones is because that I've outgrown them.).  However, these shoes should only be used for expeirenced dancers."  - Jay via E-mail
