Every one wants to know what summer programs are the best and easiest to get into. I've done a little research for myself and then decided to post my findings. Most have a link to that studio's website. If you know of another great program, please E-mail me. I'm adding more as I find them.

Cary Ballet Conservatory 3791 NW Cary Parkway Cay, NC 27513 (919) 481-6509 Huge facility with four studios and sprung floors. Dancewear store upstairs and kitchen/lounge area for students and families. Programs for 5yrs. to advanced. Offers both individual classes and full workshops- available for the full 8 weeks or by the weed. Very reasonable tuition and no audition. Host families available at additional cost of $150 Sun-Fri. Raleigh School of Ballet P.O. Box 33804 Raleigh, NC 27636 Tel: (919) 834-9261 Fax: (919) 829-1493 Intensive study for 5 weeks or by the week. Classes include ballet, pointe, character, modern, and acting. Host families available $150 per week. DancePlace 800 North College Street Charlotte, NC 28206 (704) 940-1920 June 24 - August 2 Choice of a number of session for varying lengths and a variety of housing is available. Daily study in classical ballet technique, pointe, variations, Pas de Deux, modern, jazz, character, men's, stretch class, and NCDT repetory. Tons of other weekly classes and lectures also offered. Audition required. Pittsburgh Youth Ballet 1033 Paxton Dr. Pittsburgh, PA 15102 (412) 835-1250 July 8- August 2 5 classes a day for advanced students or 2-3 for students 9-11. Ballet, pointe, variations, pas de deux, character, modern, pilates, jazz, and more. Dorms and host families available. No audition required. Call for a free brochure. Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet PO Box 1773 Carlisle, PA 17013 June 22 - July 27 5-week pre-professional program that begins by attending a performance by the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. Placement class at begining followed by 16+ ballet classes a week/. Pointe, variations, partnering, modern, and men's. Additional siminars and classes available. For serious dancer only - dance comes before socializing. The School of Ballet Chicago Available for ages three to adult. Class placement and Studio Company auditions will be held the first week of the session. National Ballet, Inc. Bowie, Maryland Limited availability. Attend by week or for full session. Wide variety of classes available. No housing available.
