The Society
votes on awards each year. Eligible films include those that
begin runs for at least one week in a commercial cinema in
the Society's headquarters county (Los Angeles). Films may
be short subjects or feature films but exclude documentaries
and television films; films that initially appear for
sale at commercial video stores each year are also eligible
for consideration. Members are urged to nominate and select
the best films each year by mail ballot by filling in the
following form.
