Back in 1959, Bonanza premiered on Television. It was the  story of a single father and his three sons. The show is still seen all over the world in re-runs and in numerous other languages. and to this day it is still loved by all. 

On September 9, 2001, a new show premiered on Television.  It was a new version of an old show, but with new stories, stories of when the Carwrights first acquired the Ponderosa. 

There is very little for one to compare the old Bonanza to the new Ponderosa, and rightly so it  should not be compared. Ponderosa is a refreshingly new look at an old favorite.

Bens sons are played by Matt Carmody as Adam Cartwright, Drew Powell as Hoss Cartwright, and Jared Daperis as Little Joe Cartwright.

The rest of the cast includes: Fernando Carrillo as Carlos Rivera De Vega, Brad Dourif as Frenchy, Gareth Yuen as Hop Sing, and Nicky Wendt as Shelby.

The Ponderosa is filmed in Australia, and is shown on the TV station PAX. on Sunday nights a  9pm est.
