This is a bit of a note about me…Sheryl McCurdy…creator of Drive Through Poetry my poetry site and Dash Blog…my journal. I’ve always loved to create pictures with words. I guess that makes me a poetic artist (I hope) I spend most of my time working as a surgery nurse, taking care of our three kids (Katie is 14, Andrew is 12 and Alec is 9) and being a good soul mate to my husband. (He might laugh at that one…grin). Times are busy for us. We have recently purchased a building and are moving Mark’s pharmacy there and we are going to be opening a coffee shop as well. I hope to be opening a bookstore in this building soon as well! Perhaps a bit of poetry reading too! I can’t wait! Good times…good times. | I'm having a writers block recently. Mostly working and barely reading OR writing...very sad. I'm wanting to do more writing...feeling creative. Must be that fall air starting to perk me up! I'm starting to become a bit more proficient in HTML thanks to LISA...check out her site for help. I've also started using Blogger and am excited to be doing big of journaling. On the home front my job has changed from just a bit of surgery to...only surgery. October is breast cancer awareness month and I decided to put an older poem of mine on display that talks about the fear of breast cancer I also included info on doing self breast exams...you can view it by clicking on this link.
