Meet the Provider |
Touching The Future I don't wear power suits, make speeches, or drive a fancy sports car. I've never talked on a car phone, made a big sale or been elected to the Senate. I don't "do lunch", have a big impressive office or carry a beeper. I spend my days wiping away tears, giving hugs and serving chicken nuggets. A good day is when I go through a whole day without a temper tantrum, bite mark or a toilet training accident. My "office" is a room full of brightly colored toys and laughing children. You may not think that what I do is very important and you may even whisper behind my back "What a waste of a good mind." But I know better. I make a difference because I'm changing the world one child at a time. Everyday I'm getting the once in a lifetime chance to change the future. I'm proud to say "I'm a child care provider." -by Marti Doyle |

My name is Kaci Boggs and I am the Provider at Butterfly Babies Childcare. I am the mother of two beautiful children Austin & Bethanie, and daycare provider to some of the greatest kids in the world. I decided this year to come home to my babies, but couldn't rightfully quit my job as a pharmacy technician without some source of income. So I sat down with God and prayed about it. Then I thought, I have always wanted a houseful of kids and there are so many out there who need quality childcare. Being a working mom myself, I knew what mother's look for when searching out care for their children and was determined to start my own childcare home with that thought in mind. So I set out to do it, and here it is. Many months later, I have almost a full roster and I enjoy every minute that I get to spend with these great kids. I teach using Chubbie Cubbie's Curriculum. We teach basic alphabet, phonics, listening, colors, shapes, and much more. I want to make sure that when these kids step into their classrooms the first day of Kindergarten that they are well prepared. I also teach some beginner typing and mouse skills, as I encourage the little ones to learn to use the computer to learn about the world around them. We take field trips at least once a month. We go places like storytime at the Amarillo Library, the Don Herrington Discovery Center, and the High Plains Historical Museum in Canyon. Parents are always welcome on field trips! I believe that we can learn alot from our children and I grow each day just by being with them. Take some time to just watch a child learn through play, it is the most marvelous thing you'll ever witness! Thanks again for stopping by, check back often! |
