Un-FL '97-'99
The Un-FL first came to be in the Fall of 1997. After
stumbling across the Cosmic
Baseball Association a web site for a simulated baseball league using famous
people as players, I thought it might be fun to do the same thing with
football. I had been a member of the Dedicated
Football League, a simulated football league using fake teams with NFL
players, for a season, so I decided to try to bring the two ideas together and
the Un-FL was born. The league ran 3 seasons from the Fall of '97 to
the Spring of '99. It started as a 8 team league in Season One, and was
expanded to 18 for seasons Two and Three. Most of the early league info
has since been obliterated due to several computer reformattings, But I have
managed to unearth a few things from Season One, as well as the entire list of
teams(which I somehow recalled from memory). If anyone happens to have
ANYTHING from the early seasons, please send them my way, and I will post them
here.
