BIRTHDATE: November 29, 1964
BIRTHPLACE: Kansas City, Missouri
MARITAL STATUS: Married, two children
WHY HE DESERVES HIS BIG BREAK:
We've got Cheadlemania at THAT GUY! Don Cheadle built a respectable career on TV (Picket Fences) and in film (Devil in a Blue Dress), but it wasn't until his appearance as stereo salesman by day/porn star by night Buck Swope in 1997's Boogie Nights that he really caught our attention.  Thankfully, Cheadle's influences seem to be less Martin Lawrence than Laurence Fishburne.  He's especially commanding in period pieces, including A Lesson Before Dying, for which he earned an Emmy nomination, Rosewood, and the previously mentioned Devil in a Blue Dress.  And speaking of period pieces, Don Cheadle is one of a very select number of actors who have portrayed the same real-life person in more than one movie--he was nominated for a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Sammy Davis Jr. in The Rat Pack, and at this writing is co-starring in George Clooney's remake of Ocean's Eleven, playing the role originated by....Sammy Davis Jr. You're beautiful, babe!
"No, I won't sing 'The Candy Man'."
