(a.k.a. The Rattysauruses)
These are the past and present rats that have shared my home, my food
and my love :)
Almost all of my rats are named after Smashing Pumpkins songs ....
Current rats:
My eldest girl, Ruby, a silverfawn hooded rat
Named after the song "Thru The Eyes of Ruby"
Ruby when I first got her :)
Above is poor Ruby when she had her tumour removed late August 2002, she chewed her stitches out so after getting them replaced the only way to stop her chewing was to bandage her with surgical tape armpit-groin with a dressing over her wound. Worked really well, even if it looked rather silly :)
Locke, black hooded rat
Sadly passed away March 23rd 2003 aged around 18 months - sweetest baby, greatly missed
We got these awesome pictures of Locke the day she died - she had lost a lot of weight and could fit into Paul's hand :( These pictures are cherished.
My little baby just before she passed on - getting a cuddle from Mummy.
Locke and Ruby on the moon! You can see the love-heart shape
on Locke's side, she got her name from the song "Cupid
de Locke". It's well fitting to her personality too!
Peeeeeeee-ewwww! I'm outta here :D
My friend Paul rat-sitting the girls :) Ruby is quite happily a shoulder/hand rat while
Locke preferred to be overly-affectionate and jump down people's tops or give you
a little ratty-kiss as demonstrated below :>
Me with the girls :)
Flame, my neutered black hooded boy rat
Named after the song "Bullet With Butterfly Wings"
Flame in his old cage peeking out tentatively :)
Locke and Flame look almost like twins .... they have similar behaviour as well :) You can see the size difference though!
Spiro, the neutered lavender mismarked hooded downunder boy
Spiro in the picnic basket I use for transporting ratties :) He's soooo cute!
This is the cage I made for my current rats .... "Ratty Heaven"

Past rats:
R.I.P. my past rats: Rage (named after "Bullet with Butterfly Wings"),
Morphine (named after "1979"), Twilight and Starlight (the sisters named after the Mellon Collie
and the Infinite Sadness album),
Zero
Named after the song "Zero"
Unfortunately not a great pic as the flash shone off the plastic cage he was in :/
Billy Gnawgan and Trent Ratznor
Named after Billy Corgan, lead singer of The Smashing Pumpkins,
and Trent Reznor, lead singer of Nine Inch Nails
These brothers were the 2 worst mischief makers of the lot! :D And they knew they could
get away with anything because they were so darn cute!
Billy was always clowning around :P These guys were so funny :>
Rest in peace, all my past little furry friends. You may not have stayed a while in my home
but you'll always be in my heart.
