Thanks for checking us out. I am hoping that this group will be frequented by people who really need support for their daily dealings with HIV. I have really felt that there is a need for not just a "dating scene", not that there is anything wrong with that, but I wanted to make somewhere genuine where people who want and need to talk don't have to be part of some sort of "click" or inner group.

Everyone needs to have some sort of support. I hope that this one is positive and open to all.
Thanks,

Steve

MIDWEST AREA HIV+ HETEROS
This site is for people with HIV who are straight, but I want to expand it into general HIV issues highlighting the area's of concern in Illinois and the Chicago area.

HIV has made my life connected with everyone who is positive, not just people who are straight, Bi, Gay, Lesbian, etc. I truly consider them all my brothers and sisters. I mean this from the heart.

I have always wanted to run a page strictly for Hetero's because there were no places to turn go as a straight guy. I do however, very much respect the gay community for the ground work and enduring efforts they have achieved and paved the way to where we are now.

At this time, we as a community, all of us who are positive need to stand united and together, because it is a time sadly that finds us staring at waining support and withering funds for those who desperately need it.

I hope you will join me. The Page is named Positive Talk, NOT Hetero talk, or Straight Talk. It is intended to include all of us who are affected by this. And in the future, hopefully to become more diverse and expand into other area's that concern HIV/AIDS.

I know that this won't be easy for me. It's a lot of hard work, I just know my heart tells me to do it.

With warm reguards,
Steve

The Campout was great. It was nice to see everyone, old and new faces. The people who attended seemed to have a wonderful time. The best thing about the weekend was how people pulled together to look out for each other.

I would like to especially thank Skeeter from all of us. I know how much hard work it was for you to put this all together. I can't put in words how much you did for all of us. Especially, during this difficult and tough time you are going through.

Sending you my prayers,
Steve
