Women Living—October 9.
A one-day symposium bringing women impacted by HIV together for presentations on HIV treatment education, community building and discussions to make lasting impacts in quality of life. 100 women are targeted for this event, with planning committee support from women around the city. Man Alive—Gay Men's Health, October 16.
Man Alive is an all day event encompassing a holistic view of gay men's health. Topics focus largely on HIV treatment education and the psycho-social affects of HIV on the community. Other areas of focus are alternative therapies, dating and relationships, domestic violence, body image, substance use and "prevention with positives" strategies. Attendance for Man Alive is diverse in terms of age and ethnic background. TPAN has assembled a planning committee with representation from organizations around the city serving gay men and men who have sex with men.
