A Midsummer Night’s Dream Overview                                                         By William Shakespeare      The Duke of Athens Theseus is getting ready to marry Hippolyta, the queen of the Amazon. He also wants to have a 4-day festival with pomp and entertainment after the wedding. So Theseus sends his master of revels to find the suitable amusements for his wedding.      Egeus comes in Theseus court and want his daughter Hermia to marry Demetrius. But Hermia is not in love with Demetrius she is in love with Lysander.   Egeus asks  Theseus if he can have the full penalty for Hermia if she does not marry Demetrius.      Hermia and Lysander have a plan to escape to Athens. They plan to escape to Athens to get married. The only person they tell is Hermia friend Helena. Which she was once engaged to Demetrius and she still loves him. They all go in the woods and follow each other.    The king and queen of the fairy’s come to bless the wedding of Theseus and Hippolyta. The play goes on and bottoms head turns to a donkeys head.
