The poll has ended!  When asked which unwanted element of life you most wanted eliminated, you chose the HIV virus.  How benevolent.  Unless, of course...
And now the new poll is here!  Have fun.

The new year in full force has brought with it another composition from Andrew Cutter.  Read it in the Literature section.  Also coming to the Literature section is a new feature,
Biography: A Look at the life of the Poets.  Contain your excitement, please.
Also, Amazonian women won by an overwhelming margin the vote of most likely to prosper in 2008.  We'll check in with National Geographic at the end of the year for a report.

Happiest times in this new year!  In honour of 2008 I present you with the third chapter of Comedy in Crayton, now available in the Literature section.
Also, the Minipoll has ended.  'The love of family and friends' (38%) prevailed as the most desired thing this Christmas followed closely by a walrus tusk (33%).  Nice work!

The Photo Challenge renews!  Get your thinking cap on for this edition: I want to see some more entries.  I've chosen a winner for the last one, but it was tough given I had to choose from two!
And... Merry Christmas to all of you!

The MiniPoll has ended!  When asked about your greatest expectation for the upcoming winter, 58% of you believe that Santa Clause will turn out to be real and that he will become tyrant mayor of Toronto.  This sentiment was followed in distant second by the thought of sitting by a warm fire with a hot beverage while reading an enchanting book (25% of votes cast).  Congratulations to the winners!  The new minipoll has begun, with an expected end time of 0h00 (12 o'clock midnight) on December 31st.  Good luck!

Also, Andrew Cutter adds a bit of personal dilemma to his collection in the Literature Section.  Check it out!

There's a new poll!  And the old one is over!  Apparently, most people are incredibly cruel and would rather that cats not be given the gift of life (68% of the vote), though a few are traditionalists, allowing them the full nine lives (21%).
Given the results, I will be contacting the humane society shortly to encourage them to begin a campaign of extermination.

You may notice a few changes, notably the change of venue for the Literature section, change of layout, and the change of location of the news section.  As before, any submissions of literature should be made via email and they will then be posted in the Literature section.

Hey there site patronuses!  As you can tell,
Possibly While High is back up and running.  How many times have I typed that in its history?  Many.  The important thing to remember is: that each time this site has stopped functioning it was you, the visitor's fault.  That's right.  Only because of your neglect and your subsequent abstinence has this site failed on so many occasions.  For shame.
On a lighter note, check out your old favourite, the
Literature section.  It has some new content and, of course, it's always looking for more (hint, hint).  Also, watch for a new version of the never-popular Photo Challenge.
Below you will find a new
MiniPoll.  In a move that parallels moves by both the federal Canadian and provincial Ontairo governments to have fixed election dates, the MiniPoll will last for a period of two weeks.  That means that this poll will end on December 2nd at 0h00 (12 o'clock, midnight).  Enjoy!
