Butterfly at Callaway Gardens

Callaway Gardens has a butterfly house with many beautiful species. They import and exhibit these most interesting creatures in all stages of their life.

PBS viewers may recognize the Southern Victory Garden plot.

We visited Callaway Gardens in January 2006. It was a bit early in the year but we wanted to see what plants grow at different times of the year in Georgia. While much of the country is under a blanket of snow, plants of all colors are happy in their fenced enclosure.

Callaway Gardens has many attractive and useful outside buildings and other structures covering their grounds. Above and below are examples of small buildings we would love to have on our property. Note the lower building that has what looks to be a front porch on one side and a much larger covered porch on the rear of a party wall.
