| The Camper is mounted on a cradle which allows the Chasis to flex without placing stress on the body. There is a flexible joint between the cab and the camper that allows an entry point from the cab to the camper. The front mounted Damlier/Benz PTO winch has a 3500kg line pull. The Camper is compact but does have a double bed, plenty of storage, a marine style toilet with black water storage tank, shower, fans and most mod cons. There are two electric water pumps drawing water from a 60 lt tank mounted under the body. We normally carry four batteries and have an auxillary Honda motor driving a 100amp alternator. This enables us to camp for prolonged periods without having to move the truck to re-charge the batteries. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The truck is a 404-S (404.115) 1966. M180 Petrol Motor. Fuel economy averages 4.5 K/ltre. Michelin R 10.5 x 20 tyres are fitted . Steering is RHD . All electrics are 12V. Fuel system is driven by two electric fuel pumps. VDO Transmission temperature guage, Rev Counter. and two Radio/Cassette players are fitted. |
