Barbados Blackbellied sheep are a fascinatingly exotic breed, whose magnificient horned rams are highly prized. Barbados produce a note worthy high quality meat from a well muscled carcass. The meat is lean and flavorful without the lanolin flavor associated with typical lamb meat. This exotic lamb meat is served in your upper-end restaurants. Caring for the hardy barbados is effertless, they withstand both heat and cold, no sheering necessary. They are hiar sheep not wooly sheep. They are also resistant to intestinal parasites. Barbados are affordable, prolific, lamb easily, make good mothers (twins are raised easily), breed non-seasonably every 6-7 months, and young ewes breed between 5-7 months.
