The Nunez family has been doing business at this Metairie location since 1959 when Kenny's parents relocated their mechanic shop from New Orleans to Veterans Boulevard.  We followed suit with our own business in 1972, doing powdercoating since 1988.  As a husband-wife team with some help from our son, we run the powdercoat business, doing all powdercoating ourselves with no assembly lines.  Quality control with quick turn around is our specialty, since we personally oversee every job that leaves the shop.  From cleaning the item by using aluminum oxide, glass beads, steel shot or simply de-greasing....until removing it from our oven .....we pride ourselves on unprecedented craftsmanship that is often rare with the larger, higher output companies.
We have two powdercoat guns, three
blasting cabinets (aluminum oxide, glass bead, and steel shot), and a de-greasing cabinet.  Our oven is 6' wide, 6' high, and 10' deep.  We keep over 100 standard colors in stock, plus clear and metalic powder; specialty powders are available; and our inventory of powder grows steadily.  We specialize in custom work and small production jobs, from one large piece to thousands of small pieces.
Some of the items we have powdercoated are light fixtures, brackets, lamps, A/C vents, hotel maid carts, shutter hinges, valves and castings, motorcycle frames, rims, auto parts (even
whole engines), yacht parts, hospital I-V stands, generator enclosures, control consoles, instrument panels, various deck, ammunition, and storage storage boxes for the maritime industry, and even over 90,000 vacuum cleaner cord holders.  The applications for powdercoating are limited only by your imagination!

Odds are you have seen something powdercoat painted and didn't even realize it (for example, some clothing racks in Wal-Mart or some patio furniture at Home Depot).  Powdercoating is, in fact, not a paint until the coated item comes out of the curing oven.  Prior to baking at 400 degrees, electrostatically-charged particles of ground polyester resin are applied to clean metal. This electrostatic charge adheres the powder particles to the parts until melted and fused into a smooth coating in the curing oven.  The result is a uniform, durable, high-quality finish that is also environmentally friendly.
