Hi Students:
This is Coach Powell. I want to welcome you back to school! I hope you had a great summer filled with fitness and fun! I am so excited  to have you in my Physical Education class this year.

This page will provide you with suggestions for your weekend exercises. Please have your parents help you record the activity and times in your Weekend Exercise Journal.  You can keep your journal at home, and I'll let you know when to turn them in.  This is a great way for you to earn stickers and awards in P.E. and most importantly, a great way to stay fit! Here are a some of my  suggestions.
Take a walk with mom or dad.
Do sit-ups every night before bed
If you have a hoola-hoop, attempt to keep the hoop going for 30 seconds
With your parents permission, go outside and jump rope with your friends
Run around the block with your parents: never alone.
Watch the lion jump across your screen and with your parents permission, jump up and down with him for a total of 10-20 times.
Help take out the trash.
Help wash the family car.
Help set the dinner table.
SMILE often and enjoy your weekend!
