Guy is too shocked to make any protest and watches the proceedings until a small plastic button flies out of his son's mouth and lands on the ground. The baby starts to cry as Isabelle kisses his head and continues to soothe him. "Thank God." Guy exclaims and runs over to claim his son. "Shall I call an ambulance?" "I don't think there's any need. But you should take him to the hospital just in case." Isabelle puts a hand to her chest and can feel her heart beating rapidly. "At least you were here." Guy acknowledges, holding the baby in his right arm as he prepares to call Cassie and fill her in. "It was nothing. I think you'll find the button came off his little suit." She points at Lucas who is beginning to calm down. After calling Cassie and allaying her fears, Guy drops the phone down and delves into his pocket with his free hand to look for his car keys. "I can't thank you enough." He pulls out the keys and stares at Isabelle who is blushing slightly. "The baby's safe. That's all that matters." Isabelle keeps her eyes on the baby, transfixed by his beauty. "Do you want to come with?" Guy points towards the door before smiling weakly. "You can hold him if you want." "Okay. You can drive my car." Feeling a sense of joy which has been sorely missing for the past couple of weeks, Isabelle gratefully takes her grandson in her arms and kisses him tenderly. "Maybe we can be a family after all." She whispers to the gurgling infant as Guy leads her out of the house.
Wheeler Estate: Napa Valley
"Is Mindy awake yet?" He asks, dropping the towel to the floor and grabbing his underwear. "I don't think so. Honey you should cover up. Mindy's down the hallway. If she is awake, she could walk in at any moment." "Oh…yeah." John smiles bashfully before his mind wanders to Adam who is apparently lying in a hospital bed. "She told me she'll get a hotel room tonight. She doesn't want to outstay her welcome." Lauren resists the urge to tell John that she already has. Having your husband's ex-wife sleeping down the hallway isn't exactly conducive to marital bliss. "Have you thought any more about what I suggested last night? The paternity test?" "I don't know Lauren." John replies as he starts to button up his shirt. "I believe her you know. Unless I am Adam's father, it's a bit of a risk pushing me to get my bone marrow tested." "But weren't you in the least bit suspicious when you found out she was pregnant? Didn't you want to go back there and find out the truth?" "I only heard the rumors." John collapses beside Lauren on the bed to pull on his socks. "Palmer Stewart made it very clear that he didn't want me going near the family again and she had a new man by that time. I really didn't think about it." "Perhaps you should have done." Lauren scolds him. "But I really think you should take the test. It wouldn't be difficult you know. Then at least I'd be sure that Adam was your child. It’s not easy finding out that you've got a stepson you never knew existed." I'm such a hypocrite. And after all the planning I've been doing to tell you about Megan… "Alright. I'll do it…if Mindy agrees." John kisses the top of her head and starts to leave the room. "Wait! I'll tell her. She might be angry if you do but if it comes from me she'll know it's my idea…And to be honest, I don't care if she gets angry with me." "Fine." John is a little skeptical but he agrees. "You do it." "Okay." "And John?" "Yeah?" "If the tests are positive, I'm sure you can help Adam some way or another. Everything will be fine." Lauren puts her hands on John's face and pulling him in, kisses him passionately. "Now go and sort out your hair. It's a mess."
Elliott and Wilder: San Francisco
"So Elliott, I'd appreciate it if you could try and force a settlement on Flynn versus Flynn." David smiles. "Now, I'm sure you've already met our newest partner but I'd like to formally introduce Travis Wilder to you. I'm sure you'll all agree that he is more than qualified to be here." The associates applaud him lethargically, all disgruntled that an outside lawyer was honored with the post. "That's it then." David stands to address everybody. "Meeting adjourned." As his colleagues begin to file out, Travis turns and watches through the glass partition as Adrienne stands impatiently waiting for him. Sighing, he snaps his briefcase shut and storms towards her. David keeps his eyes on the couple. "What brings you here?" Travis asks testily. "I wondered if you wanted to go out for lunch. I thought I could make it up to you about the other day." "Really?" Travis raises an eyebrow. "Are you sure you can fit me in? I mean…are you sure your Daddy won't need you for anything?" Adrienne rolls her eyes, "My father has nothing to do with this. Come on Travis, we don't need to turn this into an argument. Are you coming out to lunch with me or not?" "Let me think…no!" Travis leaves a stunned an embarrassed Adrienne standing in the aisle as he goes to his office and slams the door. "Is everything alright?" David seems concerned as he finally steps out of the conference room. "Not really." Adrienne crosses her arms and tries to look into Travis's office but he has closed the blinds. Frustrated she turns back to David. "Look, I don't know if you're busy later on…but how do you feel about going out to dinner this evening?" Adrienne coughs, a little shocked. "Um…okay…yeah sure. Shall I meet you here?" "No." David lowers his voice. "I think it's best that Travis doesn't know about it. I'll cook for you. Be at my house by…five." "Okay." Adrienne timidly pushes her blonde hair behind her ears and grins. "I'll see you then."
Wheeler Estate: Napa Valley
Lauren knocks on the bedroom door and hears Mindy's voice. She is obviously on the phone and Lauren coughs to alert Mindy to her presence. There is no response and annoyed, Lauren waits by the door, inadvertently hearing the conversation. "Yes…Mommy will be there soon…and I'm bringing Daddy with me! He's really looking forward to meeting you…" Lauren rolls her eyes as the annoyance takes hold. "…Soon we'll all be together. And when you're better, we can go back to LA with Daddy and be a family again." Hearing the words leaves Lauren open mouthed and she resists the urge to storm into the bedroom and confront Mindy. I don't believe it. I should've known… "Was she okay about it?" John suddenly creeps up behind her, keeping his voice low. "Yes." Lauren pulls the door shut and decides to take matters into her own hands. "She agreed."
Masters Mansion: San Francisco
"Hello Mrs Wheeler. I'm Nigel Jennings, Greg's attorney." Julia seems bemused and seats herself after shaking Nigel's hand. "Really? You look like you've been waiting for me." Greg answers, "We've got a little business to go over. You remember how we discussed prenuptial agreements the other night?" Julia turns pale and replies sharply, "Yes." "Well this is it." Greg pushes a sheet of paper forwards and she begins to read it. "I was also thinking about what you said the other night…how would you feel about me buying fifty percent of your Wheeler stock?" Her head starts to spin and she pushes the agreement back, "This is all a bit too fast. Do you mind if I get my attorney to look over it?" "Sure." Greg looks over to Nigel who nods in agreement. "Okay. I'll give him a call." Julia smiles at both men and runs into the house. She reaches Greg's study and shutting the door behind her she picks up the phone, dialing the required number. "David it's me." She says breathlessly. There is a long pause, "What do you want?" "I need your help. Greg wants me to sign a prenup and I kind of need an attorney." "Oh. He's finally caught on to your happy hooker routine." David chuckles. "I'm glad somebody found it amusing." Julia gazes ahead stony faced. "Alright, alright. But you owe me for this." "I knew I would."
Elliott and Wilder: San Francisco
"Hi David." He says absent mindedly. "That was quite a disagreement you had with your wife out there." David replies and crosses his arms. "Yeah sorry. Did she say anything to you about it?" There is a faint flicker of hope in Travis's voice. "No. She just left. I think she was pretty mad. You'll patch it up." Placing his hand on the door handle to give the impression he is leaving, David waits for a response. "Wait. I really need to talk to someone about this. I need advice." "I really don't think I'm the person to ask…you know what happened to Stephanie." David turns round. "Yeah but you were happy once weren't you? How did you manage it?" "To be honest it's difficult to remember back that far but we were happy for a while." David lies, knowing full well that his marriage was only ever a one sided effort on the part of his former wife. "I guess everything was just balanced. I spent as much time with Stephanie as I did at work, we discussed things…the sex was good…" He looks over and sees Travis's face turn red. "I've hit a raw nerve I take it." He coaxes. "We haven't had sex in months. I don't know what's wrong with Adrienne but she seems to clam up every time I even try to get intimate with her. She spends her whole time thinking about her father or the children and never pays any attention to our marriage." David is open mouthed in disbelief, "You haven't had sex in months? Aren't you…you know…frustrated?" "Hell yes. But what can I do? Short of having an affair there isn't exactly another option. I just have to wait." "Well I hope Adrienne gets over it soon." This is even better than I thought. "So do I. I'll try being more attentive. Gauge her feelings a little. Hopefully we can get somewhere." "Yeah." David agrees with a smile. "I'm sure you'll sort the problem out soon." Or I will…
Masters Mansion: San Francisco
"Oh God." Julia says aloud and wraps her arms around herself. A chill runs down her spine at the memory of just how close she was to death. Thank God David arrived. And Stephanie hasn't escaped. She's still there. The doctors told me when I called… It isn't enough to comfort Julia. She still feels that she is in danger but knows that she has to go up to the cabin. There is only one way… Calmly, Julia walks around to Greg's closet and reaches to the back where she knows she will find what she is looking for. The cold metal makes her draw her hand back but she drags the gun out and holds it shakily. "If I'm in danger…I'll be ready."
Pacific West Industries: San Francisco
"No Mr Masters." She responds obediently. "Good." Shutting the office door behind him, Greg goes to his desk and after dropping all the files onto it, he walks around and drops down into his leather chair. The sun warms his neck through the panoramic window behind him as he carefully starts to read one of the documents. It is the prenuptial agreement with his signature at the bottom. The empty space next to it glares up at him and he starts to consider whether he is making the right decision marrying Julia. She seemed so reluctant about signing the agreement this morning. Why? He notes to himself that Julia is a wealthy woman in her own right and maybe that is what she objected to…Greg offering to buy half of her Wheeler stock. He pushes the agreement away and glances up at the photograph which is sitting on his desk. It shows Isabelle smiling happily during their time in London. Those times are over. Greg reminds himself. Sighing, he lunges forwards and pulls the photograph towards him staring at it for a moment. Buying the stock will bring me closer to you. Is that a wise move to make? Unable to come up with an answer, Greg angrily opens a drawer in his desk and drops the photograph inside. He hears the glass of the frame smash and slams the drawer shut. "I've got Julia now."
San Francisco General Hospital: San Francisco
John is sitting on a bed in a private room after notifying the doctor that he wants the test performed. "That shouldn't be a problem. Shall I go and get her?" "No, you really should be resting before the procedure." Grimacing, John moves his attention to Lauren who is standing by the door. "Would you mind finding her?" "Sure." Lauren smiles guiltily and makes a quick exit from the room. She glides down the corridor towards Adam's room where she knows Mindy will be waiting. The door is open and as Lauren guessed, Mindy is sat on the bed reading to Adam who is looking surprisingly healthy. It shocks Lauren to see Adam for the first time and actually put a face to the name. He seems lively and is smiling, a thick head of brown hair framing his face. "Mindy?" Lauren interrupts and watches as the other woman puts down the book she is reading. "Yes? Is John ready?" "Actually I need to speak to you for a moment. It's about an extra procedure." "Oh." Mindy seems confused and turns back to her son. "Mommy will be back in a second okay?" Adam nods and Mindy follows Lauren out of the room. "John and I…both decided that we would like him to undergo a paternity test. Just to make sure…" "You think I'm lying?" Mindy is furious. "Did you put him up to this?" "We both made the decision." Lauren replies sharply. "If you know John really is Adam's father and you haven't got anything to hide, you'll agree." "Fine." Mindy exhales dramatically and storms off down the corridor. "Show me where to sign the forms."
Wheeler Cabin: Carmel
She turns on the washers to remove the sea spray from her windshield and becomes tense when the cabin comes into view. There is no sign of another car and she shifts restlessly in her seat. She still remembers the sirens in the background as she experienced horror the last time she was here. "It doesn't matter." Julia reassures herself. "Stephanie is locked away now." Without paying attention, Julia pulls the black Mercedes to a halt directly outside of the cabin and after turning off the engine, she quickly fumbles in her purse for the gun. Pulling it out, she checks again that it is loaded and content, shakily exits the car being as quiet as she can. The dead leaves crackle under her feet as she gets closer and raises a fist to knock on the door. As she makes contact with it, it swings gently open, making her jump back. There is no sound coming from within and her heart pounding, Julia steps onto the floorboards inside the cabin. "Hello?" She whispers, holding the gun tightly in her hand. "Where are you?" There is still no sound and her eyes dart quickly around the room. There is no one there. Suddenly, she hears the door behind her close with a bang but before she can turn around, she feels an icy cold hand clamped over her face. She attempts to scream but the hand holds her mouth tightly shut. "Just keep quiet." The unidentifiable voice whispers in her ear. "And don't try to scream."
San Francisco General Hospital: San Francisco
"They'll be starting soon then?" She asks. "Yes." Lauren looks around uncomfortable being in the company of the woman and ponders whether to go up to the cafeteria. Donna said she might drop by later so Lauren guesses that she should stick around. "I've had my bags taken to the Palace Hotel. Your mother recommended it. I'll be out of your hair by this evening." "Good." The word slips out of Lauren's mouth without her giving it much thought but she decides not to try and cover it up. "I had no idea you felt so strongly." Mindy arches an eyebrow. "I didn't." Lauren turns to face the woman. "Not until this morning…when I heard you telling your son that you were going to try and get John back." There is an atmospheric pause, "I don't know what you're talking about." Surprisingly, she utters the sentence convincingly making Lauren even more wary. "Yes you do. I came by your room this morning and you were on the phone to Adam. You told him that when he was better, you would move back to Los Angeles with my husband." Mindy raises her voice, "I don't know what kind of game you're trying to pull here Lauren but making things up to discredit me is not going to help your marriage. It's just going to show how insecure you really are." "Are you insane?" Lauren yells back. "I heard you!" "Please just leave me alone." Mindy continues, seeing a doctor watching them from down the corridor. "My son is sick! I don't need to put up with your lies!" "Stop this!" Lauren spits. "Lauren?" Donna's voice echoes down the corridor. "What's going on?" "Nothing." She covers up, keeping her eyes locked on Mindy. Donna's face shows signs of tiredness and she seems edgy but still manages to be stern with the two women. "Fine. But you both need to keep the noise down. This is a hospital, not Jerry Springer." Lauren is exasperated to see that Mindy makes no attempt to respond. She is watching John in his private room. "Alright Donna, I'm sorry. Are you okay? You look tired?" "Has Michael said something?" Donna snaps. "No. You're not having relationship troubles are you?" "It doesn't matter. Look I've got to run." As soon as she finishes speaking, Donna rushes down the corridor leaving a bemused Lauren. She watches Mindy again and decides to have the final word. "Don't play games with me Mindy. You won't win him you know." Mindy looks at her, "I never wanted to. It's your imagination again. If you'll excuse me I'm going to see my son."
Wheeler Estate: Napa Valley
"We've come to say thank you." Cassie smiles, holding Lucas in her arms as Guy places an arm around her. "It's really not worth worrying about…" Isabelle protests. "I think it's worth worrying about." Guy interjects in a surprise show of gratitude towards his mother. "You saved our child. If you hadn't have been there, he might be dead now." "Don't say that." Isabelle pleads. Guy continues, "It's true. And what you did has made me think about things…between us. You and Cassie have both been right. I can't let this go on. Martin was the one who killed Arthur and Rose…not you and I think that…because he's dead, I needed someone to blame…I'm sorry." Overwhelmed with emotion, Isabelle lunges forwards and flings her arms around her son, holding him tightly. He smiles as she rests her head on his shoulder, crying tears of joy…and relief. "I've waited so long." She says, her voice barely audible. "I know." Guy whispers. Cassie is equally moved by the scene and wipes a tear from her eye before speaking. "There's something else you should know Isabelle." "What is it?" She steps backwards and dabs at her eyes with a tissue. "I've been thinking about something else." Guy says mysteriously. "And I've decided…to change my name…to Guy Wheeler." "What? Really?" "I'm doing it for you…so everybody knows that I'm your son." "Thank you." Isabelle mouths, her voice straining. There is rustling from the corner and they glance over. Guy smiles, "I think the little guy has got something to say." Feeling a surge of happiness, Isabelle laughs at Lucas who is stirring from his slumber. Cassie starts to attend to his needs and strokes his face to calm him. "I'm sorry." She chuckles nervously at the interruption but is relieved when Isabelle steps over and watches Lucas tenderly. "So this is Lucas Wheeler." "Uh huh. It's going to be fun explaining his birth certificate." Cassie remarks wryly. "But it's worth it." "Maybe I should call the family…tell them the news." Isabelle exclaims excitedly. "Actually…We can't stay much longer. Cassie and I decided to take Lucas on a little vacation for a few days. We have to get home and pack." "Anywhere nice?" "Definitely. Santa Barbara. We were going to go to Carmel but…" Cassie's voice trails. "It didn't seem appropriate." "No." Isabelle agrees, her voice indicating that they should change the subject. The developing sense of unease is settled when Pilar enters, clutching mail. She eyes the group suspiciously, noting that Isabelle has been crying. "This come for you." She announces, handing Isabelle a white embossed envelope. "Thank you Pilar." Isabelle tears it open and pulls out the card inside. "What is it?" Cassie asks, mindful of the message she received at Wheeler. "Somebody's idea of a joke." Isabelle exclaims, flipping it round. "It's an invitation to Greg and Julia's wedding. But I've got happier things to think about." She tears the invitation in half and throws it to her side, where it lands on a nearby table. "Well we better be off." Cassie walks forwards and kisses Isabelle on the cheek. Guy follows and does the same. "Call me when you get there." "We will."
San Francisco General Hospital: San Francisco
"Yes I am. Where have you been?" "To the cafeteria. I got you some coffee." She pulls a styrofoam cup from behind her back and places it down on a table beside the bed. "Mindy just paid me a visit." John begins angrily. "She told me about your little argument out in the hallway." "Listen John, there's something you should…" "How could you be so damn insensitive?" John blasts her, his voice raised to a level that Lauren has never heard from him before. This is the first time he has ever lost his temper with her. "Not to mention insecure! Mindy's son…my son…is sick! And all you care about is whether she is trying to seduce me? Sorry to break it to you Laurie, but I think Mindy has got bigger things on her mind at the moment!" "You don't understand…" Lauren tries to explain. "You're damn right I don't! After everything we've been through for the past few months, I thought you'd trust my judgement. Obviously you don't." "I'm sorry." Lauren puts a hand to her head which is beginning to throb. "Let's just let it lie okay?" "Okay. But I don't want you coming up with these ridiculous accusations any more." "I won't." Lauren leans forward and puts her arms around John, careful not to hurt him. She turns her head and sees Mindy watching them from the corridor. This isn't over. Not by a long shot…
Elliott House: San Francisco
"Here we go." She whispers as she pushes the doorbell. Quickly, she scurries to check her appearance in her compact but it is too late. David answers the door. "Glad you could make it." He smiles and beckons her in. "So am I." Adrienne enthuses as the aroma of pasta greets her. She notices a mirror to her right and sighs in relief before glancing briefly at her reflection. Just right. "It smells great." She takes off her coat, revealing a tight black outfit which compliments her svelte figure. A little self-consciously, she looks down to see her body for herself. "Sit down." David calls from the kitchen. "I'm serving." Adrienne sees the meticulously laid table and goes to one of the seats. A bottle of red wine is sitting next to several lit candles. "Voila." David arrives with two plates and sets them down on the table before pouring the wine. "That's enough." Adrienne giggles putting her hand over her glass. David smiles and they begin to eat in silence. "Wow. You can certainly cook." She compliments him. "Actually I have to confess…this is the only thing I can cook." They both laugh and David starts another conversation. "You look beautiful tonight Adrienne." "Thank you. You don't look…too bad yourself." "You know I'm attracted to you, don't you." David announces casually and surveys Adrienne's face for a reaction. "It's mutual." She finally replies, piercing him with her eyes. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't be doing this." "Why not?" David panics as Adrienne stands. "Because I'm married." "In name only. I know you and Travis haven't made love in months Adrienne. I want to make love to you." He steps over and puts his hands on her face. "I…" She is silenced when David presses his lips against hers and starts to kiss her passionately, making her powerless to resist. She feels weak and her head starts to spin. Without warning, David stops and steps behind her. With one swipe of his arm, he pushes everything off the table, sending it crashing to the floor and placing his hands around Adrienne's body, he lifts her up onto it. "Now tell me you're not sure." He whispers, kissing Adrienne's neck as a moaning sound escapes from her lips. "I'm sure." She replies and starts to tear at David's shirt. "Make love to me."
Masters Mansion: San Francisco "What a day." Travis exclaims as he enters the drawing room and sees Greg reading. "Anything specific?" Greg looks up and places his papers down. "Yes." Heading to the drinks cabinet, Travis places his briefcase on the floor and pours himself a large glass of scotch. "I had another argument with Adrienne." "What about this time?" Travis decides to give him an abridged version. There are more suitable people he should be talking to about this, especially as Greg is the main problem. Maybe I should give David a call. "Just the usual. I think I should talk to her. Is she in?" "No. She came home and went back out again all dressed up. Had a book launch to go to apparently." "She never said anything." Travis sips the scotch and shrugs. "Oh well." "That's just the kind of attitude that is breaking up your marriage." Greg voices his opinion. "What do you mean?" "Well you didn't even care whether she was at a book launch or not. Marriage takes work. And you're not working." Travis is angry, "I can't do anything if your daughter won't let me! She'll barely let me even touch her!" "Then keep pushing." Greg keeps his voice even. "If you want to hang onto Adrienne and keep your marriage in tact…you have to fight for her."
Wheeler Estate: Napa Valley Michael sits down at his father's desk in the study and lifts up the phone. He dials and waits for a reply, rubbing his chin without noticing. "Hello?" The sound of a shaken woman surprises Michael. "Um…hi. Is Garth Kelsey there please?" "Who is this?" The woman asks, obviously crying. "It's Michael Wheeler. Elaine, is that you?" He asks, realizing that he is talking to Garth's wife. "Yes. Garth isn't here." Michael speaks slowly, worried about what he is going to hear. "Where is he?" "He's…he's dead." Elaine Kelsey sobs, trying to control herself. "The police found his body in a dumpster a couple of days ago. Someone…shot him." "Oh my God." Michael is immediately taken aback and pushes his chair backwards, getting to his feet. Fear begins to take hold, "I'm sorry. Look…please call me if there is anything you need." "I will. Thank you Michael." The phone goes dead and with a sense of urgency, Michael yanks open a drawer and pulls out the telephone directory. He searches frantically for the number he is looking for and begins the call. "San Francisco International Airport arrivals. This is Sally speaking. Can I help you?" "Yes…yes you can. I need you to tell me if someone has arrived in San Francisco. The name is Bobby Santadio. He will have flown in from New York." "Please wait sir." Michael breathes deeply as he hears the woman typing. "Yes sir. Mr Santadio arrived in San Francisco about an hour ago." The words hit Michael like a thunderbolt and he slams the phone down, trying to think about what he should do next. He needs to get to the hospital and warn Donna. If he's here…he'll kill her.
San Francisco General Hospital: San Francisco
"Have you got the results doctor?" Mindy shoots at him, a sense of desperation present in her voice. "I have. For both sets of tests. The first thing we need to address is the paternity issue." Hearing the words, Lauren clasps John's hand tightly and bites her bottom lip as she waits to hear the news. "Well?" John prods. "We know Mr Erikson, that you are indeed Adam Stewart's father." Mindy smiles briefly as John breathes a sigh of relief. "And the bone marrow?" John urges Dr Hargreaves to continue. "You are a match for that as well. As long as Adam's condition does not deteriorate, you should be able to donate within a week." "Oh thank God." Mindy exclaims and rushes over to he bed where she puts her arms around John. "Thank you." She kisses him and laughs. "Thank you so much." On the other side of the bed, Lauren releases her grip from John's hand and watches Mindy infuriated. "What good news." She attempts to say sincerely and her rival turns her head to make eye contact with her. "It is isn't it?" Mindy agrees with a grin.

"Damn it's hot." Donna curses as she walks through the darkened parking lot. There is nobody else around and she quickens her pace, paranoid about the situation she is in. A few overhead lights provide illumination as well as shadows which seem to be dancing, taunting her. Her car is nearby and she tries to assure herself with the fact. If only I had let Michael come and pick me up. She thinks to herself. Hearing an engine rumble in the distance, Donna becomes nervous and fumbles in her purse for her car keys. The noise grows louder and she is blinded by the headlights of a black limousine, which is hurtling towards her. Desperate, she starts to shake and wraps her fingers around the keys. The limousine stops and she tries to put the key in the lock with her shaking hands. "Come on!" Donna cries but as she inserts the key, a man runs towards her and grabs her putting a cloth to her face. She whimpers as the powerful chemicals on the white cloth take effect and she falls unconscious, the man dragging her limp body towards the waiting limousine. He pushes the body roughly onto the back seat and slams the door as the limousine speeds off into the night.
Richardson House: Napa Valley "Are you almost ready?" Guy calls up the stairs to Cassie who is still in the bedroom, packing her clothes. "Yes. Here we go." She appears at the top of the staircase and starts to drag her luggage down with her. The bumping agitates Lucas who comes close to crying. Guy rocks him gently to quieten him down and glares angrily at Cassie. "Oops." She puts a hand to her mouth. "That's everything then." Taking Lucas, she heads down the hallway leaving Guy to carry the luggage and opens the door. Immediately, she is surprised to see Julia's car pulling up onto the driveway and calls to her husband. "Guy. You better come outside. Julia's here." "What are you doing?" Cassie blasts the older woman as she steps out of the car. "I've got a surprise for you dear." Julia smiles excitedly. "What is it?" Cassie is worried. After the threats Julia made about legal action, this surprise could be just about anything. "Me." A man steps out of the car and stands rigidly, grinning at her. "No! It can't be!" Cassie gasps and begins to fall backwards but Guy catches her. "Jake!"
