Volunteer Patricia Program (VPP)

Volunteer Patricia Program (VPP)

What is VPP?

The Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) Association has established the VPP to help all members of the Regimental family adjust to retirement and the changes this may bring.

Need Help?

Whether you are a soldier about to retire at the end of your service contract, being released due to medical reasons, or already retired, VPP is here to help. VPP's goal is to help you help yourself and help make things happen.

The Regiment's philosophy is that we are all part of the same family, serving members and retired veterans with a life long bond to support one another.

VPP is available to anyone that has served with the Regiment in any capacity, and to their family and survivors.

Rank and tenure of service has no place in VPP. All are equal.

What are the VPP Services?

VPP will provide two stages of assistance:

  • Information Services. This stage is the provision of referral information on programs and supporting agencies along with respective contact information. Could also include the provision of VPP contacts, either national or local to where you reside.
  • Extended Services. When a problem cannot be solved through referral information, VPP will assist you in developing an action plan to seek assistance. VPP volunteers will assist you in developing this plan. For those that are released with serious emotional and medical problems, VPP will assist you in identifying these problems and the means to develop a comprehensive plan in seeking professional help.
