Foundation. October 03, 2003

Dayton Gym Club

(Title sequence, “Prayer” plays as we zoom in on Tara in the broadcast booth with someone new beside her)

Tara: Welcome everyone to FPPVW Foundation, it’s a new month, and we’ve got a new body in attendance. I’m Tara Fisher.

Dick: And I’m Dick Broccoli. We’re here once again at the Dayton Gym Club, in beautiful downtown Dayton, and we’re set for a night full of action. Let’s get right to the ring.

(Erica Porter is already in the ring, flipping off the crowd and making a lot of noise)

Dick: Erica Porter, all set for her in-ring debut.

Erica Porter vs. Naomi Leach

Finish: A fairly even match ends with a flying splash and pin from Erica Porter.

Winner: Erica Porter by pin, Match Quality: 51

(Naomi gets to her feet, shaking the cobwebs out, extends a hand to shake. Erica takes it and pulls Naomi into a DDT, laughing as she leaves the ring)

Tara: I know I should get used to that kind of thing while I’m calling wrestling, but dammit that just sucks.

Dick: Erica with a show of total disrespect, I guess she’s not out to make any friends. Too bad, in this business you can use them.

(commercial break)

(Aki Mann is in the ring, he grabs a microphone)

Aki: We’ve all seen the video by now. Cynric is coming. Cynric’s debut! What tomfoolery is this? Cynric debuted at the first FPPVW show! He’s a fraud! He wants to fool you fine but gullible fans into thinking you’ll be seeing something new. Never fear, good citizens, Aki Mann shall expose him for what he really is…Aki Mann being me.

(Segment Rating: 63)

(“Soul Creation” plays and Cynric runs to the ring and slides in, quickly moving into a martial arts form.)

Dick: Out for several months with a bicep injury, Cynric is back in FPPVW.

Tara: Due to that injury, though Cynric has been in FPPVW for longer than Aki, Aki has had more matches here.

Cynric vs. Aki Mann

Finish: Cynric squashes Aki quickly, dominating the match with a series of kicks and throws, finishing with the Lift Off.

Winner: Cynric by pin Match Rating: 40

Dick: Well so much for Aki’s experience advantage. Cynric successful here tonight.

Tara: He put Aki away quickly, the hero stands defeated. A true shame for screwed up freaks in costumes everywhere.

(commercial break)

(Jon Z is in his office, he looks up to the camera)

Jon: Ladies and Gentlemen, the FPPVW booking committee earlier today decided that next week’s episode of Foundation will include a match between Alan Mayse and Ronin Fox, the winner of which shall be the number 1 contender for the FPPVW Championship, and shall face Nykk at Homecoming Hell two days later at Bellbrookville High School.

(Segment rating: 63)

Dick: You heard the boss, October 10th, Alan vs. Fox with the winner getting a shot at the belt on the 12th. Could this affect tonight’s main event? Alan and Fox to team against Kevin Stone and Joey Sprinklers.

(Fox is shown walking backstage, Alan steps out of the locker room in front of him. He puts out his hand.)

Alan: Good luck tonight, and even good luck next week.

Fox: May the best man win.

Alan: As long as he kicks Nykk’s ass.

(Fox smiles and shakes Alan’s hand.)

(Segment rating: 75)

(commercial break)

(Nykk and the Heel Stable are in the ring, Nykk has a microphone)

Tara: Crap…

Nykk: What a night! What huge news! My next challenge for the FPPVW title is coming up, and the best they can do is the two guys I’ve been wrestling for six months already. Brilliant move, Jon, and you can tell the “Booking Committee” that too. Be sure to get them some bananas while you’re at it, sitting there in front of all those typewriters pounding out gibberish is hungry work.

Dick: Wha?

Nykk: Now I’m told I can’t be at ringside for tonight’s final match. Which means that I get to leave Dayton a little early. Sweet!

(He drops the mic and happily walks away)

(“Seven Nation Army” hits and Alan and Fox make their way to the ring.)

Alan Mayse and Ronin Fox vs. Kevin Stone and Joey Sprinklers

Finish: Alan gets isolated in the Heel Stable’s corner, getting double-teamed while the ref focuses on keeping Fox out of the ring. Joey runs across the ring and knocks Fox off the apron with a right hand, running back as Fox slides in. Fox keeps the ref occupied as Vix slides a chair into the ring. Joey picks it up and swings at Alan, but Alan ducks and Joey takes out Kevin instead. Alan runs and makes the tag as Joey runs after with the chair. He goes to swing but Fox hits a drop toe hold and Joey lands face first on the chair. Fox picks him up and plants him with the Tail End DDT for the pin.

Winner: Ronin Fox by pin Match Rating: 56

(Fox and Alan celebrate as Joey and Kevin make a hasty exit, looking embarrassed as hell)

Dick: Nykk’s not going to like this one bit.

Tara: Fox scores the pin tonight, will we be able to say the same next week as he takes on Alan? We’ll see you next week on Foundation. Good night everybody.
