Foundation. April 9, 2004

Dayton Gym Club

("Prayer" opening, "My Way" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring. He's dressed in a white dress shirt and black pants with well shined shoes.)

Tara: Welcome to Foundation, I'm Tara Fisher.

Dick: And this is Dick Broccoli, and we're here seeing the new side of Nykk.

Tara: New side my ass.

Dick: That side of you isn't new to that many people.

(sound of a smack is heard)

Dick: Hey, that's the last time!

Nykk: Welcome to the Nykk show. It's a pleasure to be back in downtown Dayton Ohio!

(He waits while no one cheers for him.)

Nykk: I've got a very special guest here tonight on the Nykk show. You all know him, we all appreciate him. Lets bring out the CEO and owner of FPPVW, Jon Z!

("Prayer" hits and Jon Z walks to the ring.)

Tara: Jon Z is coming on the Nykk Show?

Dick: Why not? Maybe he's here to clear up the misunderstandings and give Nykk the title shot he deserves.

Nykk: Welcome to my show, oh who am I kidding, your show. I'm glad you could join us out here.

Jon: Okay Nykk, that's enough. No one's buying it.

Nykk: Buying it? I wasn't aware I was selling something. I'm not Concession Boy IV after all. (he gives a hollow fake sounding laugh)

Jon: Yeah, well while you're still acting like this "new and improved Nykk" you haven't explained why your little friends stormed the ring last week after you left.

Nykk: Jon, Jon. I do apologize for that. You see, I admit I haven't always been on the level and fairminded here in FPPVW.

Tara: I actually agree with something Nykk said. It isn't raining fire in brimstone outside is it?

Nykk: As that's been my way for awhile, I've passed that on to my friends. I suppose last week, they misunderstood a few things. I certainly never wanted them to interfiere in the affairs of Alan Mayse or Kevin Stone. I'm horrified that such an act was purpetrated on our FPPVW Champion, who certainly deserves our utmost respect.

Tara: That's it, I've gone insane.

Nykk: You have my word that things are going to change within the stable. It's going to start right here next when my good buddy Joey Sprinklers takes on Silver King.

Jon: We'll see about that, Nykk. You keep trying to convince me about how you've changed, well I see no real proof. If you think a week or two of talking nice and dressing for an office job interview is going to convince me to put you in the main event you're sadly mistaken.

Nykk: (jumping up out of his chair with an angry look) Now look here! (composes himself) This isn't about a title shot, this is about doing the right thing. We both need to learn what that is.

Dick: Are you convinced yet? Nykk's turned over a new leaf.

Tara: And if a frog had wings they wouldn't bump his ass when he hops.

Dick: You sure?

Tara: Tonight we'll see Silver King take on the Heel Stable's Joey Sprinklers.

Dick: Aki Mann will be in action, his in ring return right here tonight. Kevin Stone takes on Swinger.

Tara: And just signed this week, Nykk, new or old, takes on Cynric.

Dick: Stay with us.

(Commercial Break)

("Crazy Train" hits and Silver King makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Welcome back to Foundation, Silver King is prepared for action here tonight.

Dick: He's here to face a Heel Stable member in Joey Sprinklers. I hope he's prepared.

Tara: In the past if you face one of them, you could bet on another being on the way. Now that Nykk is trying to show this new side of himself though, I don't know quite what to expect.

Dick: I think you can expect a hard fought atheletic contest, but that's just me.

Tara: Yeah, I think that is just you.

("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers skateboards to the ring.)

Joey Sprinklers vs. Silver King

(Joey and King lock up, King gets the advantage with a single leg takedown. He hits the rops and tries for a rolling senton. Joey rolls out of the way and hits the ropes on the opposite side. He hits a running neckbreaker on King and gets to his feet quickly. He measures and hits an elbow drop, but misses a second when King rolls toward him and trips him to the mat. King gets up and drags Joey to the corner, hitting a second rope moonsault to the back. He goes up for a second one but Joey rolls out of the ring. King sees him and climbs down. Joey starts arguing with a fan at ringside, turning around in time to be hit with a catapult somersualt senton.)

(Silver King rolls into the ring, stopping the count at 6. Joey takes his time to recover and retrieves his skateboard.)

Tara: Look out, Joey has that skateboard. He's used that as a weapon before.

Dick: Come on, this is the new Heel Stable, he's probably just making sure it's safe. You can't trust these Dayton fans you know.

(Silver King tries to go to the outside again, but the ref holds him back. Joey slides in and gets ready to measure King for a shot with the skateboard. Nykk runs down the aisle and slides in the ring. He snatches the skateboard out of Joey's hands. Joey turns, looking confused, and he and Nykk share some heated words. Nykk eventually shoves Joey out of the way and taps the ref on the shoulder. The ref turns and Nykk hands the ref the skateboard, pointing to Joey and explaining the situation.)

Tara: I can make out a little of what Nykk is saying...holy crap, I think he just apologized.

(Nykk shakes hands with the official and walks away. Joey continues to yell at Nykk, asking what's going on. Nykk slides out of the ring, Joey sticks his head through the ropes to continue his questions. Silver King asks the ref if he's going to DQ Joey, the ref says no so King grabs Joey by the shirt, pulling him into a reverse DDT. He drags Joey to the center of the ring and applies the Silver Surfer. Joey taps out.)

Winner: Silver King by submission.

Tara: What just happened?

Dick: This proves everything, the Heel Stable has indeed changed! Nykk just made sure Joey took the honorable route.

Tara: Honorable? Whether it worked out or not, he intended to use that skateboard in the match. There seems to be a rift in the Heel Stable.

Dick: Rift? Don't be rediculous. Maybe a little quarrel, but never a rift.

Tara: Oh excuse me for doubting such a stable and balanced group of individuals.

(Backstage, Alan walks into Jon Z's office. Jon's chair is turned away from the camera.)

Alan: Jon, we need to talk. I understand what's going on with Nykk, and why you don't want him in a main event. You have to consider something though.

(There is no response as Alan pauses.)

Alan: I'm a three time champion, and I've gotten where I am without ducking anyone, and that includes Nykk.

(Another pause)

Alan: There's only been two people who've been able to take this belt away from me. One of them is gone, but the other one is still out there week after week making a name.

(Pause)

Alan: The fans deserve the best champion they can get for WrestlingRevolution, and right now Nykk is causing doubts that that champion is me. I've said this before, I have something to prove. I need to prove I can beat Nykk and that I deserve this belt. Otherwise the belt means nothing.

(Pause)

Alan: Jon? Are you even listening?

(Alan walks around the desk and spins the chair around. The sleeping man is in it, and he snorts and grumbles to himself.)

Alan: Oh, uh...did you catch all that?

(The sleeping man snorts again.)

Alan: Could you pass word on to Jon?

(The sleeping man falls forward, hitting his head on the desk and snoring loudly.)

Alan: Okay then...

(Alan picks up a post it note and a pen, writing something down. He looks around the desk for a place to stick it, and ends up putting it on the back of the sleeping man's head.)

(Commercial Break)

("Simon Says" hits and Swinger makes his way to the ring.)

Dick: Alan has guts, I'll say that. Brains may be another matter.

Tara: Welcome back to Foundation, as we watch Swinger prepare for action. Just moments ago we recieved news from the main event scene. Alan Mayse actually wants to face Nykk for the FPPVW Championship.

Dick: Someone was convinced of the Heel Stable's new ways I guess.

Tara: Somehow I doubt that entered into it.

("Smoke on the Water" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: While we talk about the supposed new Heel Stable, here's a man with old Heel Stable business on his mind.

Dick: A former Heel Stable member here to face a man who thinks he was or maybe still his a Heel Stable member.

(Swinger gets a microphone.)

Swinger: Dayton Ohio! Swinger's got a problem!

Tara: Nothing beyond the reach of therepy I hope.

Swinger: It seems that Swinger is here to face a man with a vendetta, a vendetta against Swinger's good friends.

Tara: Friends? Even they can't stand this guy.

Swinger: Well Swinger says, this vendetta must end tonight. Kevin, I know you remember Swinger. I know you're still angry about when Swinger took your spot as second in command in the Stable.

Tara: That wasn't even him! That was Simon Diamond. Swinger has no more grasp of reality.

Swinger: Well, if a match with Swinger is what you need, then a match with Swinger is where you will start. Unfortunately for you, a match with Swinger will be the end as well.

(Kevin holds out his hand like he wants the mic. Swinger tosses it toward him, but Kevin runs under it and charges with a spear.)

Swinger vs. Kevin Stone

(Kevin keeps knocking Swinger down with a series of right hands and clotheslines. Swinger ducks one clothesline and hits a swinging neckbreaker. He goes to the top rope quickly, hitting an elbow drop and signalling for the Swing Thing. He picks Kevin up and applies the cobra clutch, but Kevin blocks the legsweep. He backs hard into the corner to break free, turning to lift Swinger up and drop him with the Stone Cutter for the pin.)

Winner: Kevin Stone by pin.

Tara: Kevin with a strong win here on Foundation, his first singles match since his return.

Dick: Well he did well against a Heel Stable reject, but that doesn't mean he can beat the real thing.

(Backstage, Cynric is watching a video on a monitor set up in a locker room. The video is the end of the Nykk/Fox match from Gauntlet.)

Cynric: Nykk, you know you aren't fooling anyone. I know you haven't changed. I also know that you still haven't paid for what you did to my brother. Tonight, you are going to pay. The new Nykk is getting broken down, then the old one will just be broken.

(Commercial Break)

(The Aki Mann theme plays as he makes his way to the ring.)

Dick: Do we have to come back from commercial to this?

Tara: Aki Mann, the super hero of FPPVW, returned last week to a less than warm reception to his almost tag-team partner Joey Sprinklers.

("Last Week" footage is shown of Aki Mann returning and getting locked in the closet.)

Dick: Glad he finally came out of there.

Tara: Oh shut it.

Aki: Citizens of Dayton, Aki Mann has returned to make this city and this promotion safe once more.

Dick: Oh goody.

Aki: I start my campaign to rid FPPVW of evil tonight. There is a team here in FPPVW who's very name is synomous with evil intentions.

Tara: The Heel Stable? He still thinks he's in a team with one of them.

Dick: Maybe he found out that Joey was the one that locked him up last week.

Aki: This team has been running rampant over FPPVW and I say it stops right here right now. Come on out and face Aki justice!

Tara: Who is it?

("Am I Evil" hits and Los Villanos make thier way to the ring.)

Tara: Well I feel stupid.

Dick: These two have been running rampant?

(IV and V discuss something, IV gets into the ring while V stays outside.)

Villano IV vs. Aki Mann

(IV eventually loses control of the match, Aki grounding him with an armbar DDT and applying the Aki Armlock. IV drags himself toward the ropes, V pushes the ropes close enough for him to grab while the ref is looking the wrong way. Aki is forced to break the hold, but then holds up his arms, thinking he won.)

(As the ref explains the concept of a rope break to Aki, Villanos IV and V change places, V laying in the ring acting hurt. Aki points to him and climbs up on the ropes for a guillotine leg drop. He notices at the last moment that something's different and fakes a jump off the ropes. V rolls and gets up to his feet only to be hit by a flying crossbody from Aki. Aki tells the ref that IV and V must have switched places, and the ref questions them. Finally V gets sent to the back, leaving IV alone.)

(Aki tries for an armbar back suplex but IV reversed into a diamond cutter for a two count. He looks frustrated, pulling Aki and and trying to apply an octopus hold. Aki wriggles free and rolls, picking IV's leg and applying the Aki Ankle Lock. Villano IV tries to reach the ropes, but eventually has to tap out.)

Winner: Aki Mann by pin.

Tara: Aki Mann with a victory on Foundation. Not words I'm used to saying, but true in this case.

Dick: I'm still confused though, was that really Villano IV left in the ring? I can't tell them apart.

Tara: We've got two more matches to go tonight. Nykk will face the wrath of Cynric right here on Foundation.

Dick: But up next is the finals of the FPPVW Tag Team Tournament's upper bracket. Number one contender for the FPPVW Championship Austin Lee along with Cody Hawk takes on Chris Stylez and Johnny Kashmere.

(We go to footage taken in someone's back yard at night. Dusty Schneble sits next to a large pile of wood. Jay Crowe walks up to him with a small can of something.)

Jay: Got the blue gooey gel.

(He lights it on fire with a zippo and puts it under the pile of wood, which slowly throughout the course of the video grows into a full bonfire.)

Jay: Almost one year now.

Dusty: Hard to believe it went by that fast.

Jay: And we still haven't really burned anyone.

Dusty: Now that's a damn shame.

Jay: How are people supposed to know what we're all about? So the announcers call us pyros. Does the crowd really take their word for it?

Dusty: Hmm. Worth finding out I guess.

Jay: But how? Or should I say who first?

(Commercial Break)

("One Step Closer" hits and Chris Stylez and Johnny Kashmere make thier way to the ring.)

Tara: We're ready for action here on Foundation. The tournament for the Ohio Tag Team Championships is nearing it's conclusion. Lets take a look at the brackets.

(A graphic of the brackets is shown.)

Dick: This is the final match of the upper bracket. The loser of this match will take on the Eccentrics next week in the lower bracket. Then the winner of that match will take on the winner of this match at Countdown for the championship.

Tara: Don't forget also, the winner of the Ohio Tag Team Championships will face the Pyro Twins at WrestlingRevolution to unify the belts with the ill gotten FPPVW Tag Team Championships from Rio.

Dick: Also on the card, just signed this week, Joey Sprinklers of the Heel Stable will take on the returning Kevin Stone, and The Pyro Twins plan to make a statement issuing an open challenge to the teams of the Ohio Tag Team Tournament. Who's going to respond? We'll find out April 17.

("The Way I Am" hits and Austin Lee and Cody Hawk make thier way to the ring.)

Chris Stylez and Johnny Kashmere vs. Austin Lee and Cody Hawk

(Cody is left for most of the match to be dominated by Stylez and Kashmere. Kashmere hits a cradle breaker and applys the Comic Atomic. Cody is about to tap when Austin breaks the hold. Stylez runs into the ring and hits a reverse DDT on Austin, they both roll to the outside. Cody gets up to his feet but gets caught with a running bulldog from Kashmere. Cody barely rolls out of the ring. The ref starts the count after separating Austin and Stylez. Austin and Cody argue outside, Austin gets up into his corner and Cody rolls in, tags Austin, and rolls right back out.)

(Austin trades right hands with Kashmere and hits a hangmans neckbreaker. He signals for the Crimson Cloverleaf, but only has it about half applied when Kashmere breaks free and tags in Stylez.)

(Stylez runs in and hits a couple clotheslines on Austin. Cody tries to run in, but gets floored as well. Stylez hits a double underhook backbreaker on Austin and covers for a two count. Austin gets to the ropes and pulls himself up. Stylez charges but Austin back body drops him over the top rope.)

(The ref stops Austin from leaving the ring and starts the count. Stylez makes it back into the ring at 5. They lock up and Austin tries for a vertical suplex. Stylez blocks it and reverses. Stylez jumps to the top rope and tries for the 450 splash but Austin rolls out of the way. Cody Hawk runs along the outside of the ring and pulls Kashmere off the ring apron as Austin gets up to his feet and catches Stylez with the Degenerate Driver for the three count.)

Winner: Austin Lee and Cody Hawk by pin.

Tara: Austin Lee and Cody Hawk have advanced, they are one step away from claiming tag team gold!

Dick: Thanks for coming Stylez and Kashmere, sorry you have to leave empty handed.

Tara: They may leave empty handed tonight, but they still have a shot in the lower bracket.

Dick: But look at that last lower bracket match. These two against the Eccentrics. Remember that Austin Lee and Cody Hawk were the ones that put both those teams into the lower bracket.

Tara: A good point, but not the only one. The Eccentrics have been on a roll since losing that first round match, and this team of Chris Stylez and Johnny Kashmere have been very impressive.

Dick: Not that it matters anyway, as we all know who the real champions are.

Tara: Stay with us, folks, we've got one last contest to bring you, and it's a big one.

Dick: The brother of a cripple facing his brother's crippler. Don't go away.

(Commercial Break)

("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Thank you for staying with us, we're set for our final contest. Cynric has been asking for this match since Gauntlet when Nykk put Ronin Fox out of active competition.

(Footage from the match is shown)

("My Way or the Highway" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)

Dick: I understand why he's upset, but he has to realize that his brother got hurt by the old Nykk. Tonight he's facing the new one.

Tara: Right, almost forgot.

Cynric vs. Nykk

(Nykk slides into the ring and is immediately floored by a spinning heel kick from Cynric. He gets up and is hit with a hard clothesline and a series of stomps. Nykk grabs the ropes and tries to get to his feet, the ref holding back Cynric for a moment. Nykk gets up and Cynric charges again. Nykk ducks a right hand and hits a rolling back suplex. He tries to keep going through the Trinity, but Cynric blocks the German suplex and backs hard into the corner to break Nykk's grip. Nykk stumbles out of the corner and is hit with a rolling koppo kick. Cynric covers for a two count.)

(Cynric pulls Nykk up, hitting some knees to the stomach and a hangman's neckbreaker. He climbs the ropes, but Nykk gets up and hits a superplex. He tries to lock on the Bellbrookville Ceaderleaf but Cynric turns over and kicks him off. Cynric signals for the Lift Off and charges, but Nykk ducks and Cynric flies into the corner. He turns around and Nykk picks him up as if for a northern lights suplex.)

Tara: This could be the Aurora Driver! Fight out, Cynric!

Dick: You're supposed to be impartial!

(Nykk hits a northern lights suplex for two. He pulls Cynric up and signals for Howling Moon I. He hits it and covers for two, Cynric getting a foot on the ropes. Nykk tries to pull Cynric up to his feet, but Cynric hits a drop toe hold and tries to apply a sharpshooter. Before Cynric gets it set up, Nykk pulls his legs out of Cynric's graps and trips him down, locking on the Bellbrookville Ceaderleaf. Cynric holds on a long time but then taps out.)

Winner: Nykk by submission.

Dick: Nykk gets the win, and he did it honestly, you have to admit that.

Tara: I do admit it, there wasn't one underhanded trick in there. Nykk won the match as fair as can be.

(Nykk stands up and waits for Cynric to stand too. He holds out his hand.)

Tara: Now wait, fair or not you can't expect Cynric to do this.

Dick: Why not? They had a match, there was a fair winner. There's one promotion that requires a handshake after a match like that.

(Cynric stares at Nykk for a moment then turns his back and walks away.)

Tara: Not today, Cynric not about to shake the hand of the man that put his brother on the shelf.

Dick: Hasn't he ever heard of forgiveness?

Tara: Maybe you can ask him next week. We're out of time. For Dick Broccoli, this is Tara Fisher. Good night.
