Foundation. June 8, 2004

Dayton Gym Club

("Prayer" opening.)

Tara: We're just under two weeks away from FPPVW Sunstroke on June 21! But for now, please join us for the hottest wrestling program on digital cable, Foundation! I'm Tara Fisher, along with Dick Broccoli. We've got yet another stacked show here tonight.

Dick: That's right. How's this for starters? The challenger for the FPPVW Title at Sunstroke, Austin Lee, will take on Cynric!

Tara: Not only that, but one half of the Pyro Twins, Dusty Schneble, will take on one half of the Concession Boyz, Concession Boy Sr.!

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Wait a minute... it's the FPPVW Champion Alan Mayse!

Dick: What's he doing out here?

Tara: I guess we're about to find out. What a way to kick off the program.

(Alan gets a mic.)

Alan: I'm glad I have the time to come out here and address all you great fans, because there are a few things that I would like to make clear. First of all, I am the FPPVW Champion, no matter what Austin Lee likes to think. You see, Austin, I know why you wanted our rematch to be a Ladder Match. You realized that no matter how many Degenerate Drivers you give me, you won't beat me. No matter how many Crimson Cloverleafs you put on, you will not beat me. One on one, I'm the man with the upper hand. So you want a match where pinfalls and submissions do not count, and the only way to win is to scale the ladder and get the title. That's fine with me. Whatever floats your boat, Austin. But you have it all wrong, Austin. I'm in your corner. I'll be the first to admit that you can beat me. But will you? I don't think so. I have something you don't have, and that's a champion's drive. The only to get that kind of drive is to be a champion. And you may very well be one someday, Austin. It just won't be at my expense. But I just realized something. This is our second episode of Foundation on Fox Sports Digital 2, and the new audience out there hasn't even seen me in action yet! So I've decided to show you all exactly what I'm all about, and that's a fighting champion. So if there's anyone back there who thinks that they deserve a title shot, come on down and accept my open challenge. Unlike Naomi Leach, I'll actually be prepared for whoever comes down here.

Tara: There you have it, fans, our fighting champion is making an open challenge to showcase his talents to the new folks in our audience.

Dick: This could be a big mistake. Alan is only two weeks away from what's sure to be a grueling Ladder Match with Austin Lee.

("Fuel" hits and Jay Crowe makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Wait a second, it's the other half of the Pyro Twins, Jay Crowe!

Dick: Alan's stepped in it now, Tara. There are few and far between in FPPVW who are badder than Jay Crowe.

Jay: You know, I've just recently realized something too, Alan. A few months ago, you defended the FPPVW Title against my partner Dusty, but you know what? I never got my title shot! What's up with that, Alan?

Alan: All you had to do was ask. You want a title shot tonight? You got it.

Jay: That's what I want to hear. Get ready, Alan. Tonight, I will take that title from you, and you will feel the burn!

Alan: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You just go to the back, talk to Jon Z...

(Suddenly, Dusty runs in through the crowd and attacks Alan from behind.)

Tara: Dusty Schneble is out here now, and he and Jay are attacking our champion!

(They whip Alan into the ropes, but Alan hits them with a double flying clothesline. He clotheslines Jay over the top rope and then backdrops Dusty over the top. "Seven Nation Army" plays as the Pyro Twins back up the ramp.)

Tara: The Pyro Twins tried to put one over on Alan Mayse, but Alan proved once again that he's always one step ahead.

Dick: Well, just don't be surprised if Jay steps on his heel and takes that title from him.

Tara: We'll be right back with more action on Foundation!

(Commercial Break)

("Let's All Go to the Lobby" is playing and the Concession Boyz are in the ring.)

Tara: We're back here on Foundation, and the Concession Boyz are here. Concession Boy Sr. is going to be in action a little bit later, but right now Concession Boy III is going to go up against a newcomer to FPPVW.

("Victims of Hardstyle" by DJ Legacy hits and Insane Dragon makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: This youngster is known as Insane Dragon, and has gotten rave reviews all over the indy scene, having wrestled for promotions such as Ring of Honor.

Dick: He's definitely been around, at only 19 years old, but let's see how he fares in an FPPVW ring.

(FINISH: CBIII goes for the Dr. Bob Beer Bomb, but Dragon counters into a hurricanrana. He bounces off the ropes and goes for a flying headscissors, but CBIII counters into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. He goes to the top rope and hits the Mighty Mint Elbow, but Dragon gets a foot on the bottom rope. CBIII whips Dragon into the corner, but it's reversed. Dragon charges, but gets backdropped over the top rope. He lands on the apron and snaps CBIII's neck across the top rope. Dragon hits a springboard 450 splash and gets the pin.)

Winner: Insane Dragon

Tara: Insane Dragon with an impressive debut here on Foundation. I can't wait to see more of this young athlete.

Dick: I'm sure he won't have to wait long to see all of you, Tara.

Tara: Quiet over there, Brocclo...

Dick: Hey, hey, we've got an FPPVW Title Match for our main event.

(Concession Boy Sr. helps Concession Boy III to the back, but out of nowhere, the Pyro Twins emerge from the dressing room. Dusty clotheslines Sr. down as Jay stomps on CBIII. They drop CBIII chin first across the guardrail and then take turns nailing Sr. with right hands.)

Tara: The Pyro Twins are back out here, and now they're attacking the Concession Boyz!

(They throw Sr. into the ring and hit Final Darkness.)

Tara: Final Darkness on Concession Boy Sr.! The Pyro Twins have once again decimated the Concession Boyz!

(The ref makes Jay leave and tells Dusty to go to a neutral corner.)

Tara: Wait a minute, are we starting the match now?

Dick: Why the heck not?

Tara: Because the Pyro Twins just laid out Concession Boy Sr. This isn't going to be fair.

Dick: Cry me a river. This is FPPVW. You make do with the hand you're dealt.

Tara: We'll be back, ladies and gentlemen!

(Commercial Break)

Tara: We're back on Foundation, and we went to commercial to see if we could buy Concession Boy Sr. some time to recover from that heinous attack by the Pyro Twins, but I don't know how well off he is in there.

Dick: Let's get this started. Enough stalling by Concession Boy Sr.

(The ref calls for the bell.)

(FINISH: Sr. tries, but can't quite get any momentum going throughout the match. Near the end, he does gain some momentum after he hits Dusty with a jawbreaker. He goes for an inside cradle, but Dusty kicks out. Sr. hits a snap suplex and whips Dusty into the ropes. Dusty goes for the Rope Burn I, but Sr. escapes and lands on his feet. He kicks Dusty and goes for a scoop slam, but Dusty grabs the top rope. He makes Sr. lose his balance and fall to his back, with Dusty on top of him. Dusty gets the three count.)

Winner: Dusty Schneble

Tara: Dusty picks up the victory with some underhanded tactics. He never had any intention of playing fair out here.

Dick: What a clever ploy by Dusty Schneble. Concession Boy Sr. can cry all he wants, but the fact remains that he lost.

Tara: I don't know how much "crying" Concession Boy Sr. is going to do, but I do know that up next, we're going to hear from Nykk. Stay tuned!

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Zac Hensley is standing with Nykk and Joey Sprinklers.)

Zac: Nykk, at Sunstroke you have a match with the man that you kicked out of the Heel Stable, and who has vowed to destroy the current incarnation of the Heel Stable, Kevin Stone. Do you feel any kind of regret that something you did could come back to you this way?

Nykk: No, I don't feel regret for kicking Stone out of my group. The fact is, when he was part of the Heel Stable, he sucked. It's evident now that he was holding back on me the entire time. As far as I'm concerned...

Joey: Kevin Stone better watch out, because the boss is mad, and when the boss gets mad, people end up hurt, and Kevin Stone, you...

Nykk: What are you doing? What in the hell do you think you're doing? You've been on thin ice yourself lately, Joey Sprinklers. I thought you had some promise, but last week, you didn't even come down to help me when that cheater Austin Lee pinned me in the middle of the ring! Not to mention that you've lost twice to Stone in the past month. The Pyro Twins are trying to make up for their recent failure, but what the hell have you done? I think it's time to take you to school and remind you just what happens when you make me mad.

(He decks Joey with a right and starts stomping him. He lifts him up and drags him out toward the arena.)

Zac: Nykk just blasted Joey Sprinklers, but I think they're headed your way, Tara!

(In the arena, "Seek and Destroy" hits as Nykk drags Joey through the curtain. He knees him in the midsection and rams him into the guardrail.)

Tara: Nykk is beating the crap out of Joey Sprinklers. What is he doing?

Dick: Nykk hasn't had the best of luck lately, but I guess he demands maximum effort from his running buddies.

(Nykk throws Joey in the ring as the ref asks him what he's doing. Nykk tells him to ring the bell, and the ref finally does so.)

Tara: It looks like it's going to be Nykk vs. Joey Sprinklers right now!

(Joey tries to crawl away, and Nykk tells him to stop being such a coward. He grabs Joey's leg and drags him back to the center of the ring. He kicks Joey in the ribs and then whips him into the ropes, hitting a back body drop. Joey backs into the corner, and Nykk beats him up with right hands. He whips him into the corner and clotheslines him as he staggers out. Joey rolls out of the ring, but Nykk hits a baseball slide, sending Joey into the guardrail. Nykk gets out of the ring and rams Joey's head into the post, and then onto the timekeeper's table. He stomps Joey a couple of times and then lifts him up, ramming him back first into the ring apron. He rolls Joey back into the ring as the ref's count reaches nine.)

Tara: There's no technical wrestling in this match. Nykk is just beating the crap out of Joey!

(Joey gets up in the corner, but Nykk hits him with some shoulderblocks to the midsection. He executes a snap suplex and covers for a two count. He goes for a powerbomb, but Joey fights back with some right hands and manages to escape, landing on his feet. He charges Nykk and slides between his legs. Nykk turns around and gets dropkicked by Joey. Joey bounces off the ropes and hits a swinging neckbreaker. He covers Nykk for a two count. Joey puts Nykk in a reverse front facelock, but Nykk turns himself over and rams Joey into the corner. Joey fights back with forearms to Nykk's back, and then climbs to the second turnbuckle, hitting a tornado DDT. He covers and gets another two count. He gives Nykk a back suplex and then signals that it's over. He goes to the top rope and hits a senton splash for another two count. He picks Nykk up, but Nykk rakes the eyes and swings around Joey's hips for a schoolboy roll up. He puts his feet on the ropes, but still only gets two. Nykk argues with the ref, and Joey rolls him up for a two count. Nykk almost pushes him off into the ref, but Joey puts on the brakes at the last second. He turns around and gets knocked down by a running back elbow from Nykk. Nykk immediately yanks Joey up by the arm and pulls him into a fireman's carry. He hits a rolling Samoan drop.)

(Commercial Break)

(Back from the break, Nykk has Joey locked in a headscissors. Joey is trying to fight out of it, and manages to turn over. He powers up until Nykk is sitting on his shoulders. Joey falls back with an electric chair suplex. The ref starts the count, and they get back to their feet at six, and Joey tries a right hand, which is blocked. Nykk knees him in the midsection and hits a northern lights suplex for a two count. Nykk goes for the Cedarleaf, but Joey won't turn over. Finally, Nykk puts his head down too far and Joey pushes at his neck, countering into a sunset flip for two. Nykk quickly gets up and charges Joey, but gets hit with a drop toehold. Joey gets up and measures Nykk. He kicks him and then hits a Gory Bomb. He signals for Da Sprinklanator, and sets Nykk up for it, but Nykk breaks free and kicks Joey. Nykk bounces off the ropes and sends Joey down with a running leg lariat. He quickly applies the Cedarleaf, and Joey screams in pain. After a few moments, he makes it to the ropes. Nykk breaks the hold and lifts Joey, going for Howling Moon I. Joey lands on his feet and Nykk bounces off the ropes. Joey leapfrogs, but Nykk stops behind him and goes for Howling Moon II. Joey counters into a rolling clutch, but Nykk pushes him into the ropes at two. Joey bounces off the ropes and hits Nykk with a reverse elbow. Joey goes to the top rope and nails a missile dropkick. He signals for Da Sprinklanator again, and lifts Nykk, but Nykk lands on his feet behind Joey and hits the Trinity, ending with a release dragon suplex instead of a bridge, which folds Joey up on the mat. Nykk turns him over and gets the three count.)

Winner: Nykk

Tara: Well, Joey gave it quite an effort, but he just couldn't get any real momentum going against the leader of the Heel Stable.

Dick: Nykk just showed his associate exactly why he is the Alpha Wolf of FPPVW. He had a counter for everything in Joey's arsenal, and never let Joey have control for long.

(Nykk gets a mic.)

Nykk: Joey, I hoped you learned a valuable lesson today. You have a long way to go before you reach my level, and you need my help. But I don't need yours. Talk to me again when you're ready to be serious about this industry.

("My Way" plays and Nykk walks back to the dressing room. Joey calls out forlornly for his boss, while holding his head.)

Tara: It looks like Nykk has just washed his hands of Joey Sprinklers.

(In the office, Jon Z is standing next to his desk. In his chair, with his head down, is Sleepo.)

Jon: Hey, Sleepo! Sleepo! Get off my desk, will ya? I kind of need it.

(Ronin Fox knocks and enters.)

Jon: Hey, Fox.

Fox: Jon. Did you think about what I told you over the phone?

Jon: Yeah, you need to work out the kinks from when you were injured, and you want to do this by teaming with the Eccentrics and having a little fun, right?

Fox: Why did you just repeat everything I told you?

Jon: It's for the TV audience. We're on Fox Sports Digital 2 now!

Fox: I like the name of that channel.

Jon: Anyway, since you so kindly drove Nykk over the edge at Wrestling Revolution, your wish is my command. It seems that the Eccentrics feel they have some unfinished business with the Pyro Twins after what they did to Pinky last month. So at Sunstroke, I made a six-man tag: Ronin Fox and the Eccentrics vs. Joey Sprinklers and the Pyro Twins. I shouldn't have to warn you... the Pyro Twins are not people you want to play with. I don't want to see you get hurt again.

Fox: Don't worry, Jon, the Pyro Twins will be doused, and as for Sprinklers... if he wants a piece of me, he can just tag in and try to get one.

(Fox leaves the office.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "The Way I Am" hits and Austin Lee makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: The challenger for the FPPVW Title is on his way to the ring, and I'd imagine that the mere mention of the word 'challenger' puts Austin Lee in a bad mood.

Dick: Obviously, he thought he would have the title by now. He let his tag victories over Alan get to his head, but now he's focused, and I believe we will see a new FPPVW Champion at Sunstroke.

("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Speaking of focused, Cynric is always focused on that ring.

(At ringside, Brother Jim is back, and points wildly at Cynric. Cynric stops to jaw with him for a moment before getting in the ring.)

Dick: Well, almost always.

Tara: Brother Jim has been on Cynric's case for a couple of weeks now, preaching to the crowd about how a man who wears his hair long is a sinner. I don't really blame Cynric for being distracted.

(FINISH: Austin tries to powerslam Cynric, but Cynric escapes and pushes Austin into the corner. He hits a German suplex and bridges, but Austin kicks out at two. They get up, and Austin charges Cynric, but gets caught with a kick to the back of the leg. Cynric whips him into the ropes and sends Lee down with a roundhouse kick to the head. Austin gets up and tries a clothesline, but Cynric sweeps his feet. Cynric puts Austin in a sharpshooter, but suddenly Brother Jim throws his Bible into the ring. Cynric lets go of the hold and yells at Brother Jim, who claims that he didn't throw anything. However, Austin gets up and kicks Cynric as he turns around, hitting the Degenerate Driver. He covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: Austin Lee

Tara: Austin Lee gets the victory after Brother Jim's Bible-throwing distracted Cynric. He was well on his way to a victory before that loudmouth interfered.

Dick: Well, he's claiming not to have thrown anything.

Tara: Please. How many other fans here brought Bibles to the show?

(Cynric rolls outside as Brother Jim explains to the security guards that a Bible should not be sullied by being touched by a wrestling ring. He suddenly jumps the rail and runs toward the ring, but Cynric sees him coming and spins, kicking Brother Jim in the midsection. He hits Brother Jim with a flurry of punches and strikes. He spins and kneels, elbowing Brother Jim in the stomach and doubling him over. Cynric hits a couple of kicks to Brother Jim's head, which causes him to back up against the guardrail. Cynric hits a spinning crescent kick that flips Brother Jim over the guardrail, and he lands in a crumpled heap.)

Tara: Cynric just laid out Brother Jim! That was awesome!

Dick: That may be going a little too far, Tara. Brother Jim never put his hands on anyone.

Tara: I don't care. If you jump that guardrail, then you're fair game. He could have had a gun for all Cynric knew.

("Soul Creation" plays as Cynric exits and EMTs come out to help Brother Jim.)

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, EMTs are tending to Brother Jim, with a cop waiting to arrest him.)

Brother Jim: All sinners, all sinners... get away from me, I don't need your help, you practitioners of dark arts. Who's in charge of this hell-fest? I demand to talk to the man in charge!

(Jon Z enters.)

Jon: What's the problem here?

Brother Jim: I was attacked by one of your em-ploy-ees, that's the problem! If one man can attack a messenger of the Lord, then I shudder to think what the rest of this organization is like. That Cynric is going to burn in Hell, mark my words...

Jon: You know what? I've had enough of you. Don't bother showing up here again, or next time I will press charges. You understand?

Brother Jim: No, it is I who will press charges against you: holy charges! For in the afterlife, when you arrive at the gates of Heaven, and they ask you how you lived your life, you will tell them that you ran a sleazy, degenerative, highly offensive wrestling program!

Jon: Well, you got me there.

Brother Jim: But believe me, I will use the lawyers of this world to press charges against your org-an-i-zation, as well as Cynric, unless I get some time on your program.

Jon: You, with time on my program? For what!?

Brother Jim: I want to speak to the FPPVW fans, to show them the errors of their ways, and show them why if these males continue to wear their hair long and the females continue to wear their short-shorts, their souls will burn for eternity!

Jon: Officer, if you please. Goodbye, Brother Jim.

(The police officer takes Brother Jim by the arm and leads him out.)

Brother Jim: You won't get rid of me so easy!

(In the arena, "Fuel" hits and Jay Crowe makes his way to the ring.)

Dick: Wow. Just wow.

Tara: Jon Z just laid down the law to Brother Jim. No more interference on this program, thank you very much. It's time for our main event, folks, and it will be our first FPPVW Title Match here on Fox Sports Digital 2.

Dick: We've seen Jay a few times here tonight already, but now he's ready to step up and make his bid for FPPVW gold.

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Here comes the FPPVW Champion, who will defend his title against Austin Lee at Sunstroke in a Ladder Match, provided he can get by Jay Crowe tonight.

Dick: I still say Alan is making a mistake. Jay is not someone to give a throwaway title defense to, because he could very well upset Alan Mayse.

Tara: Though he's part of a very successful tag team, Jay has had some success in the singles ranks, most notably with a victory over Silver King. You're right, Dick, he's very capable of pulling out an upset. Let's take it up to ring announcer Mike Lyles for the introductions.

Mike: Ladies and gentlemen, this is our Foundation main event, and it is for the FPPVW Heavyweight Championship! To my left, is the challenger... from Bellbrook, Ohio, and weighing in at 187 lbs... he represents the Heel Stable, and is one half of the Pyro Twins... Jaaaaaaay Croooooowe! And his opponent, to my right... from Fairborn, Ohio, and from the same high school class as the challenger... weighing in at 230 lbs... he is the FPPVW Heavyweight Champion... Alaaaaan Maaaaayse!

(FINISH: Alan gets his comeback and hits Jay with right hands. He whips him into the ropes and hits a running dropkick. Jay gets up and charges, but gets caught with a powerslam. Alan hits his slingshot dropkick and then goes for the Tiger Bomb. Jay counters into a sunset flip attempt, but Alan sits across his chest. Jay hooks Alan's arms with his legs and brings him down, but Alan rolls backwards and regains his feet, dropkicking Jay in the face. He whips Jay into the ropes and charges, but Jay gets an elbow up. Jay goes for the Overhaul, but Alan counters into a bulldog. He applies the Maysochist, and Jay taps out.)

Winner: Alan Mayse

Tara: Alan Mayse retains the FPPVW Championship, and is off to Sunstroke for the Ladder Match with Austin Lee.

Dick: Jay almost had him a couple of times, but just came up a bit short.

Tara: Alan showed his versatility. When he couldn't get the Tiger Bomb, he simply stretched Jay with the Maysochist until Jay had to tap. Well, that's it from the FPPVW Arena for this week. Don?t forget to tune in next week here on Fox Sports Digital 2 for another exciting episode. Good night, everyone!

(Alan goes to a corner and holds up the FPPVW Title.)
