Foundation. August 03, 2004

Middletown High School

("Prayer" opening.)

Tara: Welcome to RCW Foundation! I'm Tara Fisher, along with Dick Broccoli.

Dick: Put that remote control down, and don't even think of pressing that menu button.

Tara: Tonight, the RCW Heavyweight Title will be on the line as Alan Mayse defends against Cynric.

Dick: Cynric is the brother of Alan's challenger from Breakout, Ronin Fox. How will he feel about his brother getting a title shot? Remember how Fox was taken to his limit a few weeks ago by Johnny Kashmere? Well, tonight Johnny gets another chance at beating one of RCW's top dogs.

Tara: Also, Chad Collyer, who took the place of Nykk at Breakout to team with Joey Sprinklers, will be in singles action tonight against the Heel-Killer Kevin Stone.

(The Nykk Show furniture is shown in the ring.)

Tara: What's this? The Nykk Show? I thought he was suspended.

("The Way I Am" hits and Austin Lee makes his way to the ring.)

Dick: I guess when Austin took over as leader of the Heel Stable, he inherited Nykk's host segment as well. Welcome to the Lee Show, Tara!

Tara: I guess Nykk really is gone for good. There is no way he'd just sit back and let this happen, suspended or not.

(Austin gets a mic.)

Austin: Welcome to the first edition of the Lee Show! And to all you fans here in Ohio, I bet you were pretty pleased with yourselves. After all, none of you wanted to see someone from across the pond come into this organization and win the heavyweight title from your hometown boy, Alan Mayse. You all probably thought I was done. But look at me now. I am the leader of the most powerful group in RCW. I beat both of your beloved Eccentrics at Breakout. And last week, I pinned the Heel-Killer right in the middle of the ring. Just like RCW is a new model of FPPVW, this Austin Lee is better, improved and ready to take his place at the top of this organization. This segment was very useful for Nykk to assert his power, and now it will do the same for me, as I play host to the very people I must face to gain my spot. So without further adieu, the first guest in the history of the Lee Show... the man who will challenge for the RCW Title later tonight... Cynric!

("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Cynric probably isn't too happy about Austin beating his tag team partner Kevin last week, so we'll see just how he and Austin hit it off right here.

Dick: Cynric is nothing but a poorer version of his brother, never really winning anything but somehow managing to stick around.

Austin: Welcome to the Lee Show, Cynric. Now, tonight you have a chance to become the RCW Heavyweight Champion... a title that should have been mine. But now, you get a shot at that title. You. The guy who's been having problems with some evangelist. What makes you think that you deserve a shot at that belt?

Cynric: Well, Austin, because I was picked by the champion himself to face him. I admit, I do not have the best track record. I win and I lose, just like everyone else, but in wrestling it isn't always about who wins the most matches. It's about opportunities. I've been handed an opportunity here tonight, and I plan to make the best of it.

Austin: Pretty strong words from a bloke I've beaten before. You couldn't beat my former tag team partner, you failed against my good friends the Pyro Twins, and you think you're championship material? What have you done that I haven't?

Cynric: Maybe the question should be, what haven't I done that you have? One thing I haven't done is lose to Alan... three straight times. What I haven't done is be insecure enough that I feel like I have to fill a void in RCW that never really existed. What I...

(Suddenly, "Running with the Devil" hits and Brother Jim comes out to ringside. He starts pointing wildly and accusing fans of being sinners.)

Cynric: You know what? I've had enough of you, Brother Jim. You say you used to be a wrestler? Well, I hope you haven't forgotten everything you learned, because I want you in a match. And let me tell you something... you better pray to God that I don't lose control again. Come on, BJ!

(Brother Jim starts to leave, and Austin suddenly attacks Cynric from behind with a forearm. Cynric goes down, and Austin stomps him repeatedly.)

Tara: What was that for?

Dick: How would you like it if someone came out on your show and pointed out all of your shortcomings? It would be quite annoying.

Austin: The lesson here is simple: do not get on the bad side of the Heel Stable. Cynric, you will never be the RCW Champion, but I can be. And I will do so... with whatever means will get me there.

("The Way I Am" plays and Austin exits the ring.)

Tara: A rowdy start to a night of action here on Foundation. Up next, the ladies will be in action as Lisa Letty takes on Kumiko Indohara.

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Zac Hensley is standing by with Brother Jim.)

Zac: Brother Jim, moments ago you were called out by Cynric for a match. Now you claim you haven't wrestled in years, so how do you plan to combat a man like Cynric, who has been wrestling non-stop for about a year now?

Brother Jim: I see no reason why I should step into the ring with Cynric. I am a man of God, a man who does not go around looking for violence. Cynric is nothing but a long-haired sinner, and a rebel without a cause. I will not fight Cynric, because that is not the way of Jesus. Jesus was a forgiving man, and so am I. I forgive you for your unprovoked attacks, Cynric, and I beseech you to listen now while I recite the verses of the good book. Op-en your Bibles!

(In the arena, "Battle without Honor or Humanity" hits and Kumiko Indohara makes her way to the ring, along with Ms. Vanessa.)

Tara: Big thanks to production for cutting that off before Brother Jim got going. Kumiko Indohara and Ms. Vanessa on their way out here, and Dick, what do you know about this Kumiko Indohara?

Dick: I know that her manager is one hot piece of...

Tara: Do you want to get smacked? Do your job.

("Come Out Swinging" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)

Tara: Lisa Letty recently returned with an unsuccessful bid for the Ladies' Championship, falling prey to the tandem of Shadow and Naomi Leach. Now, I respect Shadow's privacy, which is why I'm not giving her real name, but we all know who she is. Why is she suddenly allying herself with the woman who tried to hold her back?

Dick: I don't know what you're talking about, because I have no idea who Shadow is. She wears a mask, Tara. Very mysterious. But I don't think that Lisa or LuFisto appreciated her tactics.

(FINISH: Lisa lifts Kumiko for a scoop slam, but Kumiko escapes and pushes her into referee Becky Junker. Becky falls to the mat, dazed momentarily. Kumiko rolls up Lisa for about a four count, but Becky is unable to make the count. She finally gets over, but Lisa kicks out. Ms. Vanessa goes ballistic on the outside, and Kumiko argues with the ref. However, that allows Lisa to give her a back suplex into a roll up, bridging back for the three count.)

Winner: Lisa Letty

Tara: Lisa with a victory out of nowhere over Kumiko Indohara, and she does not look happy.

Dick: Wait a minute, Tara. Kumiko had her pinned well beyond a three count with that roll up, but thanks to Junker getting in the way, she didn't even get a one count.

Tara: But Kumiko made a critical error, and let that distract her, allowing Lisa to get the pin. It's a lesson well learned.

(Lisa rolls out of the ring, as Kumiko paces back and forth with her hands on her hips. Ms. Vanessa is still arguing with Becky.)

(Backstage, Zac Hensley is standing by with Ronin Fox.)

Zac: Well, we finally got Brother Jim out of here, and now I'm standing here with one of the participants in the main event of our very first pay per view, Ronin Fox. Fox, tonight your older brother Cynric gets a shot at Alan Mayse. Do you have any feelings that it should be you getting a rematch for the title?

Fox: Zac, I have no ill will toward Alan or Cynric. At Breakout, Alan beat me fair and square. Yes, I still want that title more than anything, but tonight it's someone else's turn. Bro, good luck. You're going to need it against Alan.

Zac: We also saw that Cynric was attacked earlier by Austin Lee. What are your thoughts on that?

Fox: Austin Lee's getting real good at jumping people from behind. He said last week that the wrestling industry needs heels to function. He may have been correct or maybe not, but the fact remains is that some of us find it more satisfying to win glory without taking cheapshots or cheating at every opportunity. I don't fight my brother's battles for him, but Lee, if you feel you've been passed over for a title shot, feel free to come after someone who knows how that feels. And you can come from in front, behind, or any other direction. It doesn't matter, because no matter what happens, you will be outfoxed.

(Commercial Break)

(In the locker room, Lisa is in her street clothes and throwing her gear into a bag when Ms. Vanessa enters.)

Vanessa: Lisa Letty, who in the hell do you think you are?

Lisa: Excuse me?

Vanessa: I can't believe you would take advantage of someone who was distracted like that. Kumiko had you down for a four count. She should have won that match!

Lisa: The sooner you realize this, the better off you'll be. If the bell hasn't rung, then the match isn't over. I was perfectly in my rights not to let up just because your client had a gripe. Excuse me.

(She moves toward the door, but Ms. Vanessa steps in front of her. Lisa shoves her down on her ass, and Kumiko Indohara comes from off camera with a kick to the kidneys. Lisa falls to the ground and Kumiko applies a kata-hajime. She locks it in, and Vanessa starts stomping her. LuFisto suddenly enters the locker room and stomps Kumiko as Vanessa flees. Kumiko finally lets go and runs out the door as LuFisto looks after Lisa.)

LuFisto: Someone help!

(In the arena, the backwards "Superman" theme hits and Aki Mann makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Kumiko Indohara must have been listening to Austin Lee last week, as it looks like she's going to be taking the easy way to the top from now on.

Dick: She and Ms. Vanessa were a hot little package all by themselves, but now they've got some attitude. I like it. But now we have to deal with this clown.

Tara: Swinging Justice have been seeking a title shot against the Pyro Twins, and tonight Aki will try and prove himself against Jay Crowe in singles action.

("Fuel" hits and Jay Crowe makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Neither of the Pyro Twins are ever in the mood for games, and tonight is no exception.

Dick: I predict a quick and decisive victory for Jay Crowe.

(FINISH: Jay whips Aki into the ropes and puts his head down. Aki counters with an armbar DDT. He applies a spinning toehold, but Jay kicks him off into the ropes and goes for a monkey flip. Aki sees it coming and stomps on Jay's face. Aki goes to the second rope and tries a double axehandle, but Jay counters with a fist to the midsection, flipping Aki. Jay takes Aki's leg and lifts it up behind Aki's head. He then puts his arms around the leg and Aki's right arm, locking his hands underneath. He applies a body scissors so that he has Aki in what looks like a dragon sleeper from hell. Aki taps out.)

Winner: Jay Crowe

Tara: Jay Crowe with the submission victory after twisting Aki into a pretzel.

Dick: Get Merchandising Inc. down here. Maybe they can sell him off to some fan.

Tara: Aki had no choice but to tap out to that vicious hold, whatever it was. We'll be right back with Ronin Fox in action.

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Aki Mann is with Swinger, and is holding his midsection in pain.)

Swinger: Aki, it looks like you have a problem.

Aki: Nay, swinger Sidekick, it is we who have the problem. If that nefarious Jay Crowe can pull tricks like that out of his arsenal, we do not stand a chance in the finals of the Ohio Tag Team Tournament.

Swinger: Look, Swinger's been meaning to tell you something. The Ohio Tag Team Tournament is...

Aki: I know it's almost over, my faithful companion.

Swinger: No, you see I have a...

Aki: Foolproof plan to beat the Pyro Twins? You must tell me this plan! To the Manncave!

(Swinger throws his hands up helplessly and walks away. Aki strikes a heroic pose, but immediately has to hold his ribs.)

Aki: Ow...

(In the arena, "One Step Closer" is playing, and Johnny Kashmere is entering the ring.)

Dick: What a clueless idiot. He still thinks that he's in a tournament for the Ohio Tag Team Titles. Those titles have come and gone, moron!

Tara: Johnny Kashmere took Ronin Fox to his limit a few weeks back. Let's show some footage from that match.

(Footage is shown of the Fox/Kashmere match.)

("Wherever I May Roam" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Can Johnny Kashmere take what he learned last time and pull out a victory over Fox?

Dick: I say yes. The man is obviously a student of the game. He and Fox had never faced each other before last time, and Kashmere learns fast.

(The bell rings, and Fox and Kashmere circle each other. They lock up, and Kashmere goes behind to get a waistlock. He lifts Fox and takes him down to the mat, spinning around and getting a front facelock. Fox fights it, and then counters into a hammerlock, getting on top of Kashmere. Kashmere gets to all fours and wrenches his arm away, throwing Fox off. However, Fox keeps a hold of the arm and gets a wristlock. Kashmere rolls through and reverses the hold, segueing into a standing hammerlock. Fox reaches behind with his free arm, but Kashmere keeps him from grabbing his head. Fox bends over and reaches under him instead, grabbing a leg and tripping Kashmere. Kashmere falls to his back, but shoves Fox into the ropes with his other foot. He goes for a monkey flip, but Fox dives over his legs and rolls to his feet. Kashmere charges, but Fox armdrags him, applying an armbar. Kashmere gets to his feet and backs Fox into the ropes. He pushes him off to the other side, and sends him down with a shoulder block. He bounces off the ropes, and Fox drops down, only to receive a hard clothesline on the rebound. Kashmere covers and gets a one count. He locks hands with Fox and tries to pin him again, but Fox gets a shoulder up. Fox powers to his feet and they have a test of strength. Fox hits a monkey flip, keeping their hands locked. He rolls backwards and Johnny puts his feet up, putting Fox back on his feet and getting him up as well. Fox kicks Johnny's right arm, forcing him to release his grip. Still with their left hands locked, Fox runs to the ropes and leaps to the top rope. He sits down and backflips back to his feet, then gives Kashmere a hiptoss. Kashmere gets up, but gets sent down with a spinning heel kick. He rolls to the outside. Fox bounces off the ropes and goes for a tope, but Kashmere moves and Fox hits the floor hard. Kashmere rolls him back into the ring and covers to get a two count. He brings Fox to his feet and hits a running bulldog. He signals for the Backseat Driver. He crosses Fox's arms in front of him, but Fox suddenly dives forward, kicking Kashmere away as he somersaults. Kashmere pokes him in the eye and then whips him into the ropes, putting his head down. Fox counters with a kick to Kashmere's arm, followed by a running neckbreaker. Fox covers for two. He whips Kashmere into the corner, but it's reversed. Kashmere tries a running shoulder block, but Fox moves and Kashmere goes shoulder first into the post. Fox rolls him up and gets another two count. Fox goes for the Tail End, but Kashmere throws him off. Fox charges, and Kashmere leapfrogs. Fox stops behind Kashmere and dropkicks him from behind. Kashmere bounces front first off the ropes and back into Fox, who executes a back suplex. Fox goes to the top rope and hits a guillotine legdrop. He covers and gets a two count.)

Tara: Fox is in control of Johnny Kashmere, but we have to take a commercial break. We'll be right back!

(Commercial Break)

(Back from the break, Fox has Kashmere in a cross armbreaker. Kashmere gets a foot on the rope, however, and Fox has to relinquish the hold. He gives Kashmere a vertical suplex, followed by a kneedrop. He covers for a two count. Fox goes for a scoop slam, but Kashmere escapes and counters with a reverse DDT. He goes to the top rope and hits a twisting senton splash for a two count. Kashmere applies a reverse chinlock, but Fox manages to fight to his feet. He elbows his way free and tries to run to the ropes, but Kashmere grabs him by the hair and pulls him back into the Comic Atomic. Fox starts to fade, but before the ref can drop his hand three times, he manages to get his legs free. He stands up and takes Kashmere over with a throw. He tries a clothesline, but Kashmere ducks and catches his arm, hitting the Backseat Driver. He bridges for the pin, but Fox manages to hook the middle rope with a foot. Kashmere protests to the ref and then picks Fox up, whipping him into the corner. Fox staggers out and receives a powerslam. Kashmere goes to the second rope and waits. When Fox gets up, he tries to hit a clothesline, but Fox dropkicks him in his damaged arm. They both lie on the mat as the ref starts his count. At eight, they're both on their feet. Fox hits Kashmere with some right hands. He whips him into the ropes, but Kashmere counters with an armwringer and pulls Fox in, kicking him. He goes for a powerbomb, but Fox counters into the Tail End. He covers, but this time it's Kashmere who is able to get his foot on the bottom rope. Fox whips him into the corner and charges, but Kashmere elbows him. Johnny goes for a sidewalk slam, but he's unable to hold him up with his arm, and Fox flips back to his feet. Kashmere holds his arm in pain and walks right into a running dropkick. Fox goes to the top rope and hits the Fox Fire, modifying it into an armbar DDT instead of a regular one. However, before he can cover, Chris Stylez runs down and gets on the top rope. When Fox turns toward him, Stylez hits him with the Stylish Neckbreaker. The ref calls for the bell.)

Winner: Ronin Fox

Dick: It's Chris Stylez! He's back from Japan!

Tara: Johnny Kashmere's tag team partner just got him disqualified. What are they doing?

(Stylez puts Fox in the Stylez Bridle, and Kashmere stomps away. They then let him up an then lift him over their shoulders, hooking his head and giving him the Downgrade.)

Tara: Fox was just dropped right on his head.

Dick: Not the best position for Fox to be in, considering his history.

("One Step Closer" plays and Kashmere and Stylez exit the ring.)

Tara: Well, if they wanted to make an impact they surely did that. We'll be right back.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Smoke on the Water" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: The Heel-Killer Kevin Stone is one of many looking for a title shot against Alan Mayse. This could be a deciding match for that opportunity.

Dick: Well, whoever wins this match definitely deserves a title shot in my opinion.

Chad: Stop, stop, stop!

(Kevin's music cuts, and Chad Collyer makes his way to the ring, mic in hand.)

Chad: You know, it figures they'd book me right after Ronin Fox, the most popular wrestler here. You see, no one here wants Chad Collyer to get a better reaction than one of RCW's "good old boys." It occurs to me that to get any respect around here, you need to take on the top dogs. So, Alan Mayse, this is your notice... I'm throwing my hat in the ring for a title shot. Forget the Ronin Foxes, and Cynrics, and Austin Lees, because when I get my shot you're looking at the next RCW Champion. I'm a respected athlete, people! If I were any less than champion, that would just make me look bad!

Tara: Strong words from Chad Collyer.

Dick: He's right, Tara. How would it look for him in the other organizations he wrestles for if he's not champion here?

Tara: He doesn't seem to like being back here in RCW, but he sure doesn't mind spending the money that Jon Z pays him.

(FINISH: During the match, Collyer takes one of the turnbuckle pads off. Kevin hits Collyer with a military press into a powerslam, and then signals for the Stone Cutter. He picks Collyer up, but gets a low blow. Collyer tries to whip him into the unprotected corner, but the ref stands in his way, telling him not to do it. Collyer picks Kevin up for a scoop slam, but Kevin escapes and pushes Collyer into the corner. The ref dives out of the way, but Collyer catches himself before he hits the turnbuckle. Kevin charges, but Collyer lifts him and dumps him headfirst onto the turnbuckle. Dazed, Kevin walks into a spinning DVD and Collyer gets the pin.)

Winner: Chad Collyer

Tara: Chad Collyer is the winner, through dubious means, but the winner nonetheless.

Dick: And now Collyer is in line for a title shot.

Tara: We have a whole list of people in line for a title shot. Fox, Kevin, Austin, Insane Dragon, and now Collyer. It's going to be a dilemma deciding the main event for Firestorm.

(Backstage, Alan Mayse is warming up for his match, doing push-ups.)

Tara: Speaking of the title, there's the champion Alan Mayse. He defends the belt against Cynric, next.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: It's time for our Foundation main event, and it's for the biggest prize in RCW, the RCW Heavyweight Title.

Dick: Cynric looks a little winded from earlier.

Tara: For those of you who missed it, Cynric was attacked earlier by a jealous Austin Lee. He may not be 100%, but he's not about to back out of the biggest opportunity of his career.

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: The RCW Champion has entered the arena!

Dick: Are you going to say that every time he comes out?

Tara: Alan has been untouchable since winning the title back in February. But Cynric is no one to take lightly. Despite not having gained much ground over the last year, he has scored some impressive victories. Take it away, Mike Lyles.

Lyles: Ladies and gentlemen, this is our Foundation main event. This match is scheduled for one fall, and will be for the RCW Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, the challenger. From Cincinnati, Ohio, and weighing in at 244 lbs... he is Cyyyynriiic! And his opponent... from Fairborn, Ohio, and weighing in at 230 lbs... he was once the FPPVW Champion, but now is the first man to carry the title under the RCW banner... the RCW Heavyweight Champion, Alaaaan Maaayse!

(FINISH: Cynric goes for the Lift Off, but Alan manages to get his hands up and block it. Cynric immediately hits a hangman's neckbreaker, and then hits the Shock Cannon. He covers, but Alan kicks out after a long two count. Cynric whips Alan into the corner, but it gets reversed. Alan charges, but gets backdropped over the top rope. He lands on the apron and blocks a right hand from Cynric, hitting him with a headbutt. Cynric staggers back, and Alan hits a slingshot dropkick. He goes for the Tiger Bomb, but Cynric counters with a hurricanrana, nearly getting a surprise three count. Cynric whips Alan into another corner, and goes for a running shoulder block. However, Alan gets his hands in front of him and hooks Cynric's shoulders. He gets the arms hooked and lifts Cynric into the Tiger Bomb, running out of the corner to deliver it. He covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: Alan Mayse

Tara: Another successful title defense by Alan Mayse. What a good, clean victory.

Dick: Alan has shown that he can improvise when he's in trouble, and tonight was no exception.

Tara: Remember to join us next week on Foundation. For Dick Broccoli, I'm Tara Fisher. Good night!
