Foundation. August 24, 2004

20th Century Theatre, Cincinnati Ohio

("Prayer" opening, "The Way I Am" hits and Austin Lee makes his way to the ring. The "Lee Show" set is in the ring, updated well maintained furniture replacing the somewhat beat up and mismatched chairs of the old "Nykk Show" set. A tv monitor is on a table.)

Tara: Welcome everyone to Foundation, this is Tara Fisher, alongside Alan Mayse. Our RCW Champion has joined us for the second week here at the broadcast position.

Alan: And like you, I'm wondering just what Austin Lee has to talk about. He was one eighth of a amazing tag team match last week, but he was on the losing end, the four winners of the match, Chris Stylez, Cynric, Insane Dragon and Chad Collyer are in action later on tonight. The winner of their four way dance will take me on this Saturday at the 5/3 arena in Cincinnati Ohio at Firestorm.

Austin: I'll make this short and sweet, I'm sure everyone saw last week on Foundation when I was in the eight man tag match.

Tara: I'm sure of that too, it was a record setting rating and one of the largest live crowds we've had for Foundation.

Austin: So I know you've seen this, roll the footage.

(Footage is shown of the end of the eight man tag match, including Fox tagging himself in and then taking the Lift Off and being pinned.)

Austin: Fox, there are a few things that just cannot be forgiven or forgotten. After all the months I spent chasing the Championship you snatched away my victory. You tried to hog the spotlight for yourself and got a face full of your brother's knee for the trouble, and with that one mistake you've robbed me of my title match at Firestorm. Well I might not be fighting for any title this Saturday, but I'm not letting the night go by without a fight. If you're up for a match, look no further. This Saturday, just show up and look forward to another night of this...

(He looks back to the monitor, which is once again showing Fox being pinned.)

("The Way I Am" hits again and Austin Lee leaves the ring.)

Tara: Austin Lee calling out Ronin Fox for Firestorm, that could be one hell of a match.

Alan: No question, we're talking about two of the best here in RCW. That match is sure to be a masterpiece.

Tara: But lets not sell your match short, though we still don't know who your opponent will be.

Alan: It's up for grabs between four fierce competitors, and no matter who shows up this Sunday I can see I have a night of hard work ahead of me.

("Come Out Swinging" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)

Tara: Here's a young woman who's just about ready to burst with ambition. She's been wanting a Ladies RCW Championship match with Naomi Leach and she is not alone.

Alan: Her ambitions may be closer than she thinks after this Saturday. It's been announced that Lisa Letty is set to team up with another woman with dreams of gold, LuFisto, and they are set to take on the current champion Naomi Leach, and the woman who's about to make her entrance right here.

("Stay in Shadow" hits and Shadow makes her way to the ring.)

Tara: What do you make of Shadow, Alan?

Alan: I don't quite understand her. I know I'm not supposed to say, but her mask is not much for hiding the truth. Everyone in the back knows who she is, and I'm sure the crowd does too. The main mystery then is her motivations. Why did she take on this persona?

Tara: Perhaps after...well a certain incident, she figured a change in tactics was needed to get ahead?

Alan: Perhaps, but it's quite a change.

Lisa Letty vs. Shadow

(Lisa hits a bulldog from the second rope and flips Shadow over onto her back. She climbs to the top rope, but Shadow rolls out to the apron and stands up. She pushes Lisa off the turnbuckle and to the floor. Lisa gets up and is caught with a missile dropkick. Shadow pulls Lisa up and tries to roll her in the ring, but Lisa puts her hands up against the ring apron and pushes away, then whips Shadow into the guardrail and back against the ring apron. She rolls Shadow in and goes to follow her in, but Naomi Leach runs out and grabs her leg, pulling her right back out. She hits a DDT on the floor and locks on the Leach Hold, the ref sees it and calls for the bell.)

Winner: Lisa Letty by disqualification

Alan: Now are these actions of a true champion? Let her go!

(Shadow joins Naomi outside. Naomi lets go of the hold and she and Shadow start stomping and beating Lisa. Suddenly LuFisto jumps over the guardrail from the crowd and grabs a chair. Shadow and Naomi back up quickly and eventually turn and bolt for the curtain.)

Tara: LuFisto just jumped in to saver her future partner. She probably saved her chances for success by getting Naomi and Shadow away from her.

Alan: I'm really looking forward to seeing LuFisto and Lisa Letty team up. I think Naomi and her Shadow might be in serious trouble.

Tara: Stay with us, ladies and gentlemen, there's plenty more here on Foundation.

(Commercial break.)

("Hit That" plays, Joey Sprinklers is skateboarding around the ring. "Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)

Alan: Cynric's pulling double duty tonight. He is still part of the big four way dance at the end of the night, but he's also elected to be part of this match. It seems quite a few people are eager to get into the ring with the Heel Stable and take them down a notch. I can't say I disapprove.

Cynric vs. Joey Sprinklers

(Quickly into the match, Cynric hits a release german suplex and stands quickly, backing up against the ropes and signaling for the Lift Off. A bible is thrown from the front row, and the camera shows Brother Jim running up the aisle to get away from security. Cynric turns around and tries to get out of the ring to go after him. Joey Sprinklers comes up from behind with an undetected low blow, and spins Cynric around to hit Da Sprinklinator for the three count.)

Winner: Joey Sprinklers by pin

(Cynric kicks out too late and looks at Joey with an odd look. He stands, seemingly unhurt, and looks around the ring. He picks up the bible and looks at Joey, who backs up, falls out of the ring backwards through the ropes and runs away. He snatches up his skateboard on his way. Cynric leaves the ring slowly and walks to the back.)

Alan: I don't think I've seen that look before out of Cynric, it's not a good look.

(Backstage, Cynric bursts into Jon Z's office.)

Cynric: Jon, I've had enough. I need Brother Jim out of here. I know you gave him a contract for his stupid little speeches and sermons, but he's going too far. I can ignore some things. I can ignore a man insulting me in the crowd, or stating his opinion about stupid things. I cannot ignore a man who made me lose to Joey Freakin' Sprinklers.

Jon: Okay, I know. I know he's getting under everyone's skin, but there's nothing I can do to get rid of him at this point.

Cynric: You can't just buy out his contract?

Jon: Trust me, I've tried. I can't stand the little bitch either, but we won't except a release or a buy out.

Cynric: Then what the hell am I supposed to do?

Jon: Well...there is one way.

Cynric: What?

Jon: He did sign an contract. In fact he signed a very generalized contract. The kind of contract that doesn't necessarily specify what he's going to be doing on a given day.

Cynric: What are you getting at?

Jon: As long as his "assignments" on a given day are reasonable in the context of the company he works for, then he must adhere or be in breach. In other words, he works for a wrestling company, he better be prepared to wrestle.

(Cynric starts to smile.)

Jon: The next night you're available, I'll make sure it happens. I guess though we should hope it's next week's Foundation and not Firestorm, good luck in the four way tonight.

Cynric: I can hardly wait. I'll finally have the chance to really shut him up.

(Cynric leaves grinning.)

Tara: Cynric vs. Brother Jim? This could be very interesting.

(Commercial break.)

("Lets All Go to the Lobby" hits and the Concession Boyz make their way to the ring.)

Tara: The Concession Boyz are in the ring, the youngest one ready for action here.

Alan: So are these guys really related or...

("One Step Closer" hits and Johnny Kashmere and Chris Stylez make their way to the ring.)

Tara: We might get back to that, for now we have to talk about this tandem of Kashmere and Stylez. Stylez of course will also be in the four way dance tonight, though his team might be in action at Firestorm.

Alan: Depending on who wins the four way dance, Chris Stylez will either be facing me for the RCW Championship while his partner faces Concession Boy Sr. in singles action, or the two of them will take on the remaining male members of merchandising Inc in a tag team match.

Tara: But for now it's Johnny in charge of the action. Lets see how he does.

Johnny Kashmere vs. Concession Boy III

(Johnny hits a Cradle Breaker for two, III kicking out and rolling to the outside. Johnny goes to the ring apron. III tries to grab his foot, but Johnny kicks him back and goes for a dropkick. III sidesteps it. Johnny stands up near Concession Boy Sr. and shoves him. Sr. goes to retaliate, but the ref leaves the ring and gets between them. Johnny turns back to III and Chris picks up a chair and tries to attack III from behind. III ducks the chair shot, and Chris stops just before hitting Johnny. III gets behind Chris as he and Johnny are still face to face with Chris holding up the chair. He hits a dropkick to Chris' back and sends the chair into Johnny's head. III quickly pulls Johnny up and pushes him into the ring. He goes to the top rope and hits the Mighty Mint Elbow for a three count.)

Winner: Concession Boy III by pin.

Tara: Another upset tonight, I suppose Johnny Kashmere might think twice in the future about doubting the place and purpose of the Concession Boyz.

Alan: I know a few things about what goes on in that ring, and I know that perhaps the most important is that you do not underestimate people if you intend to be successful. When you get too cocky in the ring, that's when you make mistakes and you get beat.

Tara: Well you are certainly one to ask on matters like that. You've had a very impressive history in this organization.

(A video is shown highlighting Alan Mayse's title reigns, and his dominance over the past few months.)

Tara: Most impressive, Alan.

Alan: I do my best.

Tara: As an impartial announcer though I have to wonder if you can keep that roll going once you get to Cincinnati to face the winner of tonight's main event.

("Burning Times" by Iced Earth plays.)

Alan: You can expect nothing from me other than the best possible match I can give. That's what I promise every time I step through those ropes.

Tara: I can't argue with that. Well, while we've been gearing up for this huge four way dance, some of the men who were dropped out of contention due to last weeks eight man tag match have been very edge. This happened during the commercial break.

(Ronin Fox is walking backstage, he turns a corner and comes face to face with Austin Lee.)

Austin: Well hello there, if it isn't the little rodent who cost me my chance at gold.

Fox: Oh cheer up, you've lost title matches three times already, I'm sure you'll get the chance to lose again.

Austin: Look here, you may have a lot of friends in this promotion, but we both know I'm the one that's going to rise to the top. You've delayed me, that's all, and because of that delay I've decided to take the time to teach you a bit of a lesson.

Fox: Well good luck, professor, I tend to sleep through class.

Austin: You'll take things a little more seriously this Saturday, I hope. That's when it'll sink in just how much trouble you've put yourself in. I don't know what you know about Englishmen, but I can tell you this: They are quite skilled at fox hunting.

Fox: You guys eat blood pudding too, what's your point? A bunch of stupid looking men on horseback using rifles and packs of dogs to face one small animal doesn't impress me. Maybe by Saturday you'll figure out a threat that applies to two men in a wrestling ring. See you then.

(Fox turns and starts to walk away. Austin goes to attack him from behind but Fox takes him down with a drop toe hold. Austin lands hard face first on the concrete, Fox stands up and puts a foot on Austin's back, leaning down.)

Fox: Ah the mighty hunter...

(Fox walks away.)

(Aki Mann and Swinger are backstage.)

Aki: Ah, my swinger Sidekick. We are finally ready to face down the flames themselves. This Saturday we face the Pyro Twins, and I can finally see the light at the end of this tunnel that is the Ohio Tag Team Tournament.

Swinger: Yeah, about that. Swinger needs to tell you...

Aki: No need for encouraging words, we are prepared for victory. The evil fiery minions of the Heel clan stand no chance against the swift winds of justice.

Swinger: No, Swinger is trying to tell you about the tournament.

Aki: Surely you see that the momentum is shifting behind us, for though we were momentarily thwarted in our heroic efforts last week the power of our righteousness shines forth as we gear up to battle the wicked ones that challenge our mighty quest to maintain the purity of true justice that should permeate the fabric of this traveling band of gladiators that are the Renegades of Championship Wresting, a sport of true sportsmanship who's roots can trace back to...

Swinger: YES, I get it. You see Aki...

Aki: Aki MAAAAANNN!

Swinger: Yes, Aki Mann, this is...um.

Aki: Just tell me, faithful ward.

Swinger: This is yours and Swinger's last match in the tournament.

Aki: What, do my mighty ears deceive. The tournament is scheduled to end so soon?

Swinger: Um...yes. You and Swinger have only one match left in which to win the Ohio Tag Titles, or be eliminated and have to ...just move on with life.

Aki: This is harsh news indeed, though not without hope. Good young crimefighter, we shall overcome this hurdle together.

(Aki poses, shakes hands with Swinger, and turns to jumps dramatically off-camera. A few seconds later he jumps back on-camera. Without a word, Swinger picks up Aki's gym bag and hands it to him. Aki takes it and jumps back off-camera)

(Commercial Break)

(A video plays, showing a bald man in priestly clothing in silhouette to the tune of "Head Like a Hole" by Nine Inch Nails. The end of the video shows in icon on an ankh with angel wings and the date 9/18/04.)

Tara: September 18th? What's that about?

Alan: Well it got my attention, but who was that?

("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring. Insane Dragon and Chris Stylez are already in the ring.)

Tara: We'll have to figure it out later, as it is we've finally arrived at the four way dance to decide the number one contender for Firestorm.

Alan: This has been driving me crazy, I like to know who I'm facing so I can prepare and study up. As soon as we're off the air I'm going home and breaking out my tape library so I can look for our winner.

("Son of a Bitch" hits and Chad Collyer makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Any predictions or thoughts before the match?

Alan: Well, Cynric is a strong competitor, no doubt. I've been in the ring with him before and it was not an easy night. I think he's just one or two victories away from becoming huge in this business. The other three people in that ring are still fairly new to me. Chris Stylez I've watched for a long time, and he has unbelievable potential. A lot of people see him just as one half of a tag team, but consider that it's a very strong and dominant team of two very gifted athletes. Chad Collyer seems to have a problem with his attitude, but confidence is fully warranted. That could be one of his best assets is that he truly sees victory in his future and will do anything to attain it. Then you get to Insane Dragon...what more is there to say, the man is nuts.

Tara: This match will be an elimination style affair, and it will decide much of the landscape of Firestorm. Both Chris Stylez and Cynric have other matches that could be booked this Saturday, that will be put off if either of them win this contest tonight.

Alan: I just had a very strange thought. If Cynric won right here, and happened to beat me Saturday. He might be defending the RCW Championship against Brother Jim right here on Foundation!

Tara: Well I suppose that would give you a little extra incentive to win.

Alan: As if I needed it, but yes.

Chad Collyer vs. Insane Dragon vs. Cynric vs. Chris Stylez

(Dragon and Cynric circle each other, looking for an opening. They lock up, Cynric getting a side headlock. Chad and Chris lock up as well, Chad getting a waistlock and going for a German suplex. Chris blocks and sends an elbow back to stun Chad, going for a standing switch and hitting a reverse DDT. He mounts Chad for some right hands. Cynric takes Dragon over with a hiptoss and turns to Chris, who is just standing up. Cynric grabs Chris by the arm and whips him against the ropes, leapfrogging over him and flipping backward to hit a spin heel kick. He covers for two. He stands up and gets caught with a Kawada Kick from Dragon. Dragon jumps up to the top rope, but Chad gets to his feet and follows him up, hitting a back superplex and covering for two. Chris stomps Chad before he can stand and applies a full nelson, turning him over to apply the Stylez Bridle. Chad refuses to submit. Dragon regains his senses at the same time as Cynric and they both see Chad in the submission hold. Cynric kicks Chad in the exposed chest. Dragon follows suit. Cynric shows his disapproval for the kick and tells Dragon to watch carefully, slowly demonstrating the proper motions before kicking again even harder. Dragon rolls his eyes and pushes Cynric away, demonstrating his own technique. A shoving match ensues as Cynric and Dragon try to position themselves to continues the attack. Dragon shoves Cynric away and backhands him. Cynric stops and stands still for a few moments as Dragon prepares to kick Chad again, but Cynric grabs Dragon by the shoulder and spins him around for a knife edge chop. They trade chops, Dragon getting the upper hand and forcing Cynric against the ropes. He tries to whip Cynric across the ring but Cynric stops and reverses, whipping Dragon toward Chad and Chris. Dragon hits a running dropkick to Chad's chest, the force of which breaks the hold and Chad rolls to the outside of the ring. Chris reaches for Dragon before he can stand and pulls him into a double underhook backbreaker. He covers for two. Chris stands up and Cynric rushes him fast to hit a hangman's neckbreaker. He turns and sees Dragon getting back up to his knees so he charges and hits the Lift Off, covering for the three count.)

Alan: Now that is damn impressive, Cynric has taken control of the situation very tactfully.

Tara: Can be maintain that control though? Don’t go anywhere, this match continues next.

(Commercial break.)

(Cynric has Chris in a single leg Boston crab. Chris is reaching for the ropes, but not quite making it.)

Tara: Welcome back to Foundation, we have taken our last break. Cynric is trying to stake his claim right here and now as a force to be reckoned with. Here's what went on during the break.

(Footage is shown of Chris trying to sneak up behind Cynric with a reverse DDT, and Cynric slipping out of his grasp, turning and sweeping him to the mat. He applies an armbar on the mat and eventually transitions to the Boston crab.)

(Back in live action, Chris almost reaches the ropes. Cynric stands up and drags Chris back toward the center of the ring before turning over and applying the sharpshooter. Chris yells out in pain and looks to be about to tap out. Before he does, Chad climbs back in the ring, still looking weak and dazed from the punishment he took earlier. He runs toward Cynric, who releases the hold to block a clothesline and turn it into a hammerlock. Cynric pushes Chad into the corner chest first and turns him around to hit some chops and some straight right hands. Chad blocks and rakes the eyes. Cynric backs up and turns away, Chris catches him with a swinging neckbreaker. He pulls Cynric up and leads him to a corner, signaling for the Stylish Neckbreaker. Cynric hits an elbow to the ribs first, though, and picks Chris up for the Shock Cannon. He covers and gets a three count.)

(Meanwhile Chad had climbed to the top rope and jumped off for a Firebird Splash even before the ref counted to three, and lands on both Cynric and Chris. He rolls off and pulls himself up using the ropes. He charges Cynric and goes for a tilt-a-whirl armdrag, but Cynric counters with a backbreaker instead. He backs up and charges for the Lift Off, but Chad ducks under Cynric's leg and rolls behind him and up to his feet. Cynric turns and is caught with a northern lights suplex. Chad bridges and reaches with one hand to hold the ropes as he gets the pin.)

Winner: Chad Collyer by pin.

Alan: Wait, he had the ropes. Ref! Open your eyes and look at the ropes shaking!

Tara: Well that's a shame, Cynric was dominating that match and it got snatched away by an example of poor luck.

Alan: Poor luck? Poor officiating you mean, I can tell you that better not happen when I face Chad this Saturday.

Tara: Don't miss it, this Saturday Live from Cincinnati Ohio and exclusively on Pay Per View. RCW Firestorm, which we now know will feature Alan Mayse vs. Chad Collyer for the RCW Championship, as well as Brother Jim making his wrestling debut against Cynric and the team of Chris Stylez and Johnny Kashmere taking on the Concession Boyz of Merchandising Inc. Ronin Fox will be there to take on Austin Lee, Swinging Justice challenges The Pyro Twins for the RCW Tag Team Championships and the team of Lisa Letty and LuFisto try and take down Naomi Leach and her Shadow. I'll be there, and you had better show. For Alan Mayse, this is Tara Fisher, good night.
